You have to be carful with foam, it can hold moisture.

Certainly would, as long as it covers the opening. We all need to bring this up to the dealer and Ford so hopefully they fix the problem and then at least there would be a new inner wheel well to replace this one.

I'm going to work on it this Winter. It's crazy that after spending $70000 (all in) that we have to work on something this basic.

This is something I discovered after we got ours home and there is no way you would be able to see this at a dealership unless you got the car up on the lift. You will have to decide if this is something that would bother you

Wow, sorry to hear that. We didn't have anything like that but the protection board under the chassis was filled with gravel! It was a substantial amount and our drivers side wheels (Pirelli P Zeros)are permanently scratched, it wasn't obvious until we removed the poorly applied wheel dressing...
