What I hear sounds like the injectors firing and also what sounds like static when scrolling through the radio channels. I think that’s what Dena posted about earlier as to what it would sound like. The constant ticking are the injectors firing. Exactly what my old DI GM engine sounded like...
I’m curious if anyone has had the tick happen and runs Amsoil. Or if they have the tick running a 5w40 oil. Is it with certain oil brands, filters, or does it happen with all oils and weights.
Yep, I know we can’t adjust the valves but was just curious if there were aftermarket valves that someone has used in an engine upgrade kit. Maybe different cams or anything changed that no longer produces the tick after they changed out something on the top end.
We have a convertible and drive with the top down all the time. Morning to night and we haven’t noticed the screen being washed out under the Florida sun. It’s obviously more difficult to see at certain times but never washed out at least for us. And I’ll add more difficult meaning it’s not...
$1,500 for axle back exhaust 🤣🤣🤣 that’s funny. No way in hell I’d pay for that and the claims of up to 17 hp🤣🤣🤣. I don’t know which one is more hilarious.
That does seem to be very logical. I wonder if anyone with the tick has had to change valves or make adjustments to the top end and the sound disappeared?
I don’t think you are going to see as much as say a boosted motor will but none the less it’s helping. Btw, how many port injectors do we have? I’ve heard there are 8 and I’ve heard there’s only one. The one being centrally located on the manifold so a little fuel gets into all 8 cylinders to...
That was my first thought is the high pressure fuel pump but it should be rythmic and not random. Our solstice was really loud compared to this. Here’s what our old car hp fuel pump sounded like.
Can you tell me what the maintenance plan price was for you? I already have the extended warranty but am looking into the maintenance plan and does that include synthetic oil option?
Ok, thanks
Are these push pins that can be purchased at the auto parts store, Amazon or my local harbor freight has a tray with 6-8 different kinds of push pins/connectors for $11 and I think there are 100 of them.
That’ll be fun. And no I don’t trust that a tech will always put everything back correctly or even put the tray back on. I’ve seen countless vehicles that had a cover of some sort and they were not put back on by the dealer or previous owner.
I’ve got it on video as I originally thought it was back feed from the rear speaker. It was a high pitch sound sitting in the passenger seat but driver seat it’s lower
I figured that much as it’s not my first time around the block. However, it’s our first new car since 2013 and I wasn’t sure if things had changed. I also realized he was not being honest or just not knowledgeable when he said I would also be charged $100 deductible for warranty work even...
I have always changed my own oil and having Honda, Nissan, and Pontiac vehicles that had a warranty they never questioned my oil changes on warranty work. The dealer I bought from said Ford is adamant that a certified tech needs to change the oil to keep future warranty work possible. I know...
