I have been using the helpful tip shared on this forum for my profile 3 to be set with the side mirrors dipped for use when reverse parking, however, just recently clicking started happening when the mirror adjusts, it stops if I intervene with the mirror adjust buttons but is obviously annoying to have to do so.

Is there a solution to this, possibly resetting something on FORScan, or do I need to get the dealer to repair/replace something?

It seems like the mirror is responding to the button push but continously, so it just keeps trying to move. Maybe just reset the profile that you set. That might fix it. Delete it then redo. Goodluck 🍻

Yep, I overwrote profile 3 with slightly less downward angle, which has alleviated the issue.

I love this forum. Learn something new about my car every time I visit. Only two of us drive the car so profile 3 is wide open.

Thank you.

My 2019 did this and was common in the S550… there is a TSB out on this for those years. Maybe contact the dealer and ask them if they seen it on the S650

2019 Mustangs (and 2015-2020 models) may experience a clicking or ratcheting noise from the side mirrors when using memory settings, easy entry/exit, or auto-folding, typically addressed by SSM 49217 or SSM 51937. The issue is usually caused by the Driver/Passenger Door Modules (DDM/PDM) needing a software update, or by mirrors becoming desynchronized and requiring a reset. [1, 2]
Key Details regarding the Mirror Clicking:
  • TSB/SSM Information: SSM 49217 notes that 2015-2020 Mustangs built on or before January 18, 2020, may have this issue due to software in the DDM/PDM. [1]
  • Solution: Dealers can resolve this by reprogramming the DDM and PDM with the latest software. [1]
  • Alternative Solution (Syncing): If the mirrors are "clicking" because they are out of alignment (perhaps after a car wash or manual force), SSM 51937 suggests performing a power mirror synchronization procedure, often achieved by folding them in and out manually to reset their position

Try clearing that mode and re setting it.

We have profile 3 set with the seat all the way back to make it easier to get in, especially for me.

Have you tried the “easy entry/exit” setting? It does exactly this!
I found the "easy entry / exit toggle in settings the second or third day I owned the car. I love it. Most cars with memory settings do this automatically. The steering column in my wife's Lexus is also power so the wheel moves in and up to in addition to the seats, mirrors, etc. it's nice to be able to climb in/out of both cars easily.
