Fitcamx Installation issues

So i received my fitcamx dash cam, was really happy until I opened the box and find the camera not assembled on the unit itself. The ribbon cable wasn't installed on the circuit board which resides in the metal case, there clearly wasn't enough room to flip the ribbon latch open so the ribbon could be inserted and they put red gel where clips are to ensure no tampering or opening of case. So i'm out about 300 bucks, so very annoyed.

Send it back. One of the reasons I buy things of this nature on Amazon. So easy (most of the time) to send the item back.

Why are you out the money when they sent a defective product? I do not understand.

Send it back... get one that is assembled, or a refund. Not sure where you ordered from that wouldn't do one or the other. If they won't do either, if paid with credit card or PayPal, there are still options to reverse charges.

I don't reside in the states so I don't get the consumer protection you guys get, I bought direct from their website. Technically speaking the product is not defective, it wasn't fully assembled so its my word against their word

1) I can't claim a refund because they have proof of delivery.

2) A return is costly and after having dealt with online Chinese seller regarding product return, the chances of them getting the item back and still doesn't process a refund is very high.

I had sent them an email and waiting for a reply but it seems like i will have to dismantle the metal case to the circuit board and attach the ribbon cable myself and hope the item is indeed not manufactured defective.
