Installed the Pioneer sub to the stock location. Pioneer D10DD4. Amazing what a good sub can do for your music. Running off the stock amps, it sounds really incredible. It's all I need. This weekend, I will get my dashcams installed.

It does. You do have to massage a few holes with the Pioneer, but it is easily done. I made mine a bit harder by putting back the OEM grill and ring. Being the "it gotta be perfect" guy, I took the time to massage it as much as possible to make it look stock. Honestly, I probably should have used the Pioneer ring, and perhaps gotten the bars off of Amazon to protect the speaker.

Also want to mention get the Red Wolf speaker harness makes the install even easier, because you have no need to cut anything. For 8 bucks, it worth it.

I did the same. Can't tell there is anything different about the sub by looking at it. And you're 100% correct. Those connectors to plug into the factory wiring are worth every cent.

Can you specify the correct harness please?

Can confirm. Am using the exact same one.

I also bought this for filling the sub enclosure. If you do end up using it, make sure to shove the filling in all the way to the sides. The whole thing fits. Does it help? Debatable, but for $8? Why not.
I bought a sheet of filling as well. Stuffed it into every corner so it filled the box. I forgot about that.

So today a new mod....I'm just down to cosmetics now....But I do like to open my hood. Took my time with these big meat cleavers, but I do draw so......mathces the Ford Performance.

What does the filling do?

What is the purpose of the "box" if filling the box helps in some way?
So filling the box with polly will help with vibrations and rattles; it will tighten the airflow inside the box and give a richer sound. Or lol, at least that is what I think it does. I just understand putting fill in smaller sub enclosures helps, like using Dynamat in your doors, etc.

Do you have to do it? No, but like with most things, every little bit helps.

[AI] Polyfill slows down the movement of air inside the box. That creates the acoustic illusion of a larger enclosure.

Typical effect:
  • Makes the box behave 10–25% larger
  • Slightly deeper bass
  • Smoother, less “peaky” response
  • Reduces internal reflections and standing waves
Again, for $7 with the box already opened... Why not!

Ok, thanks, guys, for the explanation. I am not an audio-stereo guy. I do think my B&O stereo is lacking, but I don't know why or exactly what to do about it.
