Fifth gear issue 2024 dark horse with tremec

Not sure where you live but I was looking at the C8 and Troy Chevrolet in Ohio has 10.5k off before you walk in the door. You can place an order and they will do the same.

I'm in Floriduh and I had to drive my ass to the middle of Alabammer (I think it was called Bessemer) to snag my Dark Horse Premium for $69k. I got a used (2000 miles, little old lady owned it) Corolla Cross mailed to me from Panama City Beach for $20k. I know how to find deals but they're never nearby!

Damn that's what I'm talking about with the C8's! I found a 3LT for $70k w/ 3000 miles and I WANT IT! But if I wanted it now, I'd have to trade in my lightly modified Dark Horse.

Dude, they may not be the fastest thing in the world but they're fast enough and they look like an exotic. Can't beat it.

Man I feel like I got a great deal on mine. Sticker I think was 78 and I got them down to 68 brand new. That did include the 3.5 rebate that Ford was giving out though. That was down near Cincy and I live just north of Dayton. For me I enjoy the hunt for a great deal and I never go in "needing" a vehicle. Being able to walk away has a great power, but you have to be willing to really walk away. Took me 3 months to talk a chevy dealer down on a truck to where I wanted it to be. They kept calling and I stuck to my number. I highly doubt a manual is on the way for the C8. Tremec made one that can be put in but Chevy, like many other manufactures are chasing numbers. The C8 community talked for several years about the Grand Sport before chevy got there. If they do I might lose some money on trading in my DH for the manual C8.

Alright gents I just picked her up today and all is well. They replaced the transmission range sensor and changed the fluid as well. I had a great service advisor who kept me in the loop as well. The transmission range sensor part number was MR3Z-7210-B. If anybody experiences this issue feel free to reach out I you will send you videos of the problem. I can't post them on here because of the size. Thanks for the support I look forward to talking to you guys in the future.

Yes they did they replaced some gaskets as well here are the parts.

Luckily, Tremec is putting out a swap kit next year. They said their phones ring off the hook for it. No price yet. Sound exciting!

Hopefully not. I've been pretty lucky with mine. Most of my miles are hate miles.
