I just go my 24 GT out of storage and called the dealer about the open recall for water intrusion. I was told the fix they were using doesn't work. The correct parts are expected in the third quarter. So for you who have already had the recall done, I recommend you contact your dealer.

You might want to look for the TSB dates about this fix. As I recall, the 'original' fix wasn't adequate, but the later ones (after a lull addressing the fix) does indeed cure the issue. And, I haven't heard of anyone having the issue crop back up after the correct fix.

I had my recall done a few days ago, my bud works at the dealer that did the fix. He never mentioned anything about that. Took 2 hours!

The last letter I received from Ford was for an inspection only. No water intrusion no fix needed. I did my own inspection and water test using Ford proceedures. Some day I may let the dealer clear my recall but not until Ford gets its act together.

I searched for a newer TSB, but I didn't find any. Considering all the comments, I suspect there isn't a later TSB.

By the way, not all dealers (or their personnel) are up to date. One service writer actually told me I couldn't X the tires on my Ranger because they were omnidirectional. Pitiful to be sure!

Mine was done in Feb, it took the whole day. They've only just taken the recall notice off the app.
