Anyone running 4.09/4.11 with the MT82?

If I can swing an s650 my mods will be fairly minimal as I'm coming off an approx 350bhp s197 4.6 and 480 is plenty. Hp-wise it will only be a CAI, cat delete and flowmaster outlaws and I realize all of that is really just for sound; if the dealer tells me to shove the warranty over a cat delete I'll throw an OTS tune on it as well.

So anyway I ran 3.73's in my old foxbody and have 4.10s in the s197 which are fine considering I don't run any power adders. With the double overdrive of the MT82 and keeping the factory power pretty much stock I figured I'd do 4.10's again unless I happen upon a great deal on a PP and first give the package 3.73's a shot.

No official 4:09 kit available though i do believe the s550 will fit. Its the ford kit if you can find it will. The mt82 has longer gears than the s550. I have the 3:55 and it can feel sluggish and other times right on. Its kind of weird. My Friends 24 with the 3:73 Feels more punchy across the range. Also the s650's cats are part of the manifold. Ford has been very anti aftermarket this gen and designed it accordingly. Same crap with the tail lights requiring the bumper to be taken off. Easily fixed by snipping 2 stupid tabs.

Looks like American Muscle has 4.09 and 4.11 kits listed for the 15-26 Super 8.8 IRS; odd Brenspeed has no listing. The FRPP info below is conflicting. Yes not having the cats on an easily swappable midpipe is annoying. TY

That’s what I hear. What I know is my car is a turd when I switch it off. Maybe I’ll do some actual testing. Either way, it made my car much more enjoyable. And that’s all that matters, right?

I had 4.09 gears with my S550, one of the best mods I did. You will need either the ProCal from Ford or another tuning device. You can't adjust it with Forscan.
