I have to admit I love the tips on my Dark Horse the car looks great from the back. That's the view most see.
LMAOOO yeah. Dark horse tips are fantastic man. Sucks they aren’t bolted. They’re part of the resonator, so the only realistic way to get them is to either replace a GT’s entire resonator (axle back) with a dark horse’s, or, cut a dark horses tips off, and weld it onto the gt resonator.
Oh yea I 100% agree there is some selling a stock dark horse exhaust on fb marketplace near me for $800 which I’m sure I could get lower but then I’d have to get a new valance too and decided it wasn’t worth it. Especially now that I have gotten these on definitely glad I went this route instead.

They aren’t symmetrical. That’s 100% the problem. There are manufacturing differences from left to right, so that’ll definitely explain it. What’s your plan with the wrap? Do you put on the factory tip right where it narrows down then slide the new over it?
Yea that makes sense and yea pretty much lol I’ll take some pictures of the process so if anyone else has trouble or wants to replicate.

Don’t even need to do that tbh. People are selling OE dark horse axle backs for like $200. But you’d need to replace your axle back and a new valance; or, cut your tips off, weld DH ones on. Still new valance.
These are fine that you found. They look incredible. By loose, how “loose” is yours? Rattles? You hear it? Or

Also, we can look into similar dimensions just slightly shorter. Those are 7.5”. Can try to find one that’s 6-6.5” and honestly you may not need to adjust anything at all. You just sacrifice an inch or so of length popping out the valance but that’s not a huge deal

It’s just loose enough on that first drive I took with them on by the time I got home they were just slightly askew definitely no rattling or anything like that at least not that I could hear over the exhaust. I just realigned it once it cooled and gave it a slight tug so it would grip on to the thicker part of the tip. The left right sticks out a smidge further right now but I did a 1.5 drive today there and back and they didn’t seem to move from the first time. But I’m a little OCD so I do wanna make sure that they are as even as I can get them lol

Good luck I’ve looked pretty extensively at other options even scoured Ali express lol and these are the only ones that go from 3.5in to 4in that I could find.

Might be worth a shot to talk to the manufacturer of these and see if they would do a custom run if enough people on here wants them.

Way to much work. It was easier to tick the box when I ordered the car lol. to old and sore to do that kind of stuff. Also if you use the Dark Horse exhaust you will have to use a Dark Horse valance.

Yeah. Definitely the option we’re trying to avoid

Oh so it was barely loose it seems. Put some thread locker on the retainer, stuff something on that thing, will be mint. From the pictures, they do look a little long compared to the OE, probably looks much better in person. I’ll give it a shot when they go back in stock LMFAO. There’s was no joke 100+ available when you posted this. Now there’s 2. TWO.

Maybe the OP should contact the seller for his "cut".

Good find. I wish they had other options besides black.
