Difference in drivers? Is it just me or does the supercharger sound louder on the blue car?

That's not a production car...
If you're going to keep arguing this lame case on every GTD post, then in that same thinking you are also saying that 2 of the top 3 Ring records are negated because they're AMG cars.

I don't give two fucks about any Nurburging times.

But again, that doesn't matter at all, because the whole comparison was the production GTD vs the production ZR1. I don't care about the times of your grandma's Buick

Not in this vid, but they had the hood vents off in another test session months ago. When you do that with a GTD, you can see the engine pretty well. Eagle eyed viewers noted how the supercharger looks like a whipple.

Now this isn't confirmed by Ford of course, so take it with a grain of salt. Many have speculated using past whipple superchargers as a benchmark for performance, that the upgraded GTD's are putting out 1,000 hp give or take.

That seems to track with this new footage where this thing is zooming. The GTD was a better performance car to the zr1 in pretty much all aspects apart from power, downforce, suspension, tires, brakes. It just was power limited. I theorized some time ago with how capable the chassis was, Ford could probably throw a great deal more power at it with zero issues.

If the GTD now accelerates like a monster, then yeah, it's gonna be insane.

When compared to the Corvette [music] ZR1, there was no sector, corner, or part of the track where the GTD was faster

....

the GTD finished 3.8 long seconds behind the winning Corvette. At a less technical track, like many of the large wide openen tracks in America that favor big power, the Corvette's horsepower advantage would have helped

Then why TF do you keep coming and arguing about it on every GTD post?! Back up off that Corvette 🐔 about an inch and let some oxygen in, it sounds like you're a little deprived of it.

No in-car video with a timer, not valid. Somebody standing around with a stopwatch isn't verifiable.
The only times the track authoritys accept is their own track timing. Then they supply stickers for your car saying Sub 7, or whatever, and you go onto the official stats.

With all due respect, why are you here? It feels like even though this is a mustang forum, you're always attacking the mustang, and glazing the Corvette. I feel like you should be on Corvette forums instead.

The GTD is a badass car. We can debate the price, but you can't deny it performing the way it does for a 4,000 lb front engine car is insanely impressive. Keep in mind, despite being a muscle car, it's setting a better lap time than virtually every sports car ever tested at that track, many of which were far more expensive than the GTD.

I don't understand people acting this way with the competition. Like if one car is slightly faster here, and another is faster elsewhere, why some people use that as an opportunity to attack and shit on the other cars. That's idiotic to me. It's not a case of "That car is badass, oh here's another badass car, that means the car I previously thought was badass is shit". It's a case of "Wow, both of those cars are badass".

It's like someone is dating a super model, and someone else is saying their girlfriend is ugly because they're also dating super model. It makes so freaking sense. It's the worst side of the car hobby.

Sorry for reminding you the ZR1 is faster, everywhere. Now people are leg humping modified GTD times (or they don't realize it's not a production car) and trying to compare them to stock ZR1 times.

When someone says the GTD is faster in the turns or would be faster than the ZR1 if it had more power, is it wrong to point out that it's not true?

If you're a 10 and there's an 11, you're still a 10.

Funny how people can say YEA IT BEAT THE PORSCHE and then get so butt hurt when another car beats the GTD.

From now on, I will only say positive things about the GTD, even if the competition is better. Don't want to upset @DeluxeStang
