I am going to be putting a supercharger on my 2025 Mustang GT and I need to decide whether I want to go with the Whipple Stage 2 or the Roush Stage 2. I like the sound of the Roush so much better but I think the overall features of the Whipple may be superior. What do y'all think? Which would you choose and why? Pros? Cons?

I went whipple.

3L vs 2.65L. All things being equal the whipple could theoretically move more air per revolution than the Roush.

One tuner claimed they made more power in a max effort roush.

Both these superchargers are plenty capable for a stock motor down the quarter mile.

I'd like to think my IATs are slightly lower with the whipple. I had a shop do my install so the roush being easier to install isn't a big deal for me.

I do wish the whipple had more coolant capacity.

I'm not sure how much benefit is to be had with dual throttle bodies on a supercharger vs one big one.

Aside from the pending recall for unintended acceleration, my whipple drives pretty much like stock. I get a bit of whine with the window down on the supplied intake, Whipple offers an open element one where you can hear more noise. It's nice to be able to cruise with the gf and not have to put up with blower whine.

Whipples stage 2 throttle body says it flows 2250cfm, some random post said an older ford dual 80mm throttle body flowed 2284 cfm. Whipples stage 2 is "only" 112mm, and they don't seem to publish a CFM spec for it.

You'll have fun either way.

I went Whipple on my '25 DH. Their warranty allows oil pump and timing sprocket upgrades. My tuner has a S550 doing 8's on a Stage 2 Whipple.

You need a waaaay smaller pulley than what comes with the stage 2 to run 8's

My bad. He's on a stage 2 and has a small blower pulley that's a 10 rib. He has gobs of other mods on the car. Significant lightening (carbon fiber wheels, drive shaft, and half shafts).

My Roush Phase 2 doesn’t whine. Nothing about the Whipple is “superior” to the Roush. I found a Phase 2 Roush for $8,950 so I bought it. Not having to pay $900 to powdercoat it red was a plus.

Both are good options. It's more so the driving style and goals with the car that can help answer this. The Whipple does have more options in the aftermarket world as well as peak power but the ROUSH does just fine.

When you decide, let us know as we offer both. Today is also the last say of our sitewide 10% sale with code: LUCKY
