Excuse the double reply, I'm scrolling through, but you are right. If I remember correctly, there were some people breaking quad digit HP numbers with a pulley and intercooler swap on the S550 GT500.
Going to take a lot more than that

Does anyone really think these darkhorse sc,s are gonna sell? I mean there will be a few people that can afford to buy them, but I bet they dont sell and will be very few actually on the road if at all. Considering the price and the fact if you already have a darkhorse and put a little bit of money into it you have a pretty dam fast fun mustang. I dont know am I way off?

You could have done that same thing with a Mustang GT or Mach 1, but Ford sold plenty of GT500's

over 14,000 of them in three years

Hell yeah they’re gonna sell, we live in a world of 70-100k F150s, 100K broncos…

DHSC is gonna sell and with a hefty ADM to boot.

And whoever is implying people won’t buy these cars specifically for 60-130 or roll racing , you’re out of the loop
K.A. Got his GTD ffs and the 1st tests were all for the dragy boards and 60-130s… same for ZR1/X
It’s the number 1 benchmark for the newer generation

They could. I mean there are used GT500's listed for $80-90k

Worst case if they don't sell you can buy one at a discount.

Wow, yeah i didn't think of that. 100k other vehicles. 100k is kinda baseline nowadays, we'll for higher end cars i guess.

I will be interested to see if it holds its value. Numerous basically delivery mile Dark Horse cars have gone on BaT and either sold what I would classify as way under sticker or reserve not met. It’s hard to generalize the GT350, GT350R, GT500 sales as there are so many nuances between years, options, and miles but they have held their value very well. Most Rs are still selling for over sticker.

I just bought a DH, and definitely would have considered the SC depending on available options on the SC: I want the technology features and I also love the appearance package on my DH (the blue trims inside for example). Does it come with Recaro seats only? Anyway, very happy with my DH.

The DH SC is still a front-engine pony car carrying significant weight. A 911 GT3 RS has 200 fewer horses but beats higher-powered cars at the Nurburgring because its power-to-weight ratio and active aero allow it to carry 20-30 km/h more speed through corners.

750+ hp generates immense heat. In a 20-minute track session, a "lower power" car like a Z06 or a Lotus Emira will maintain consistent lap times, while supercharged V8s can eventually pull timing to prevent overheating.

Modern performance isn't about how much fuel you can burn, it's about how much power the tires can actually transmit to the asphalt. Cars like the M2 CS use sophisticated differentials and suspension geometry to out-accelerate much more powerful cars out of corners.

So while the DH SC driver is fighting wheelspin and brake fade due to the extra weight of the supercharger and cooling, the Lotus or BMW driver (who only paid $100K USD) is using smarter engineering to maintain higher average speeds, and the Z06 driver (who only paid $112k USD) can run hot laps all day, whereas the DH SC will likely have to take cool down laps after just two or three flyers due to the massive heat generated by the blower.
Yes, but I don't want a track car. Nor do a lot of potential buyers. The SC is a fast, fun road car. A poor mans GTD if you will.

How so?

2.6 second 0 - 60mph

10.4 quarter mile

Emilia Hartford managed to get a 2.2 second 0-60 out of it on a track.

It's Nurburgring time was 7:10.

And it is only 0.6 seconds behind the GT3RS at Willow Springs

Turd?
She could get a 0 -60 in 2.2 out of me.
