I would prefer lucidA Mustang forum arguing about hybrids. Maybe someone will drive a Prius besides that brit.

That is EXACTLY what I said - EV's can adjust regen braking but most hybrids can't - please read more carefully! FHEV/PHEV and EV are not the same - the clue is in the name. You are literally arguing against yourself there.Sorry one more post to tamp down fake news from the stop/start apologist...lol...
Nearly 100%
of modern battery-electric vehicles (EVs) feature some form of regenerative braking as a core component. While virtually all EVs have this technology, a very high majority allow drivers to adjust the intensity of the regenāranging from low/coast modes to, in many cases, one-pedal driving...
And... in my 54 cars and trucks I've owned I've probably had more Mustangs than you too...Just not at the moment.... And as far as I know owning a Mustang is not a requirement to tamp down ideology that is so far wrong its a comedy to join in with the majority of the sane gang in here...
Do you have a glossy photo of Greta in your room?Rhetorical I know the answer.
Peace
PS, I've driven several hybrids (not owned) but no prius....(had a few try to pass me though)
would drive a lucid if had opportunity...

It was you that said hybrids recharge the battery using the engine but if you think about that for even a second you will realise that is not happening. FHEV's have small batteries (1.5kWh ish) which would take an engine less than a minute to fully charge if it could - then what? Once the battery is saturated it cannot be used for regen braking storage as it is fully charged. If you use the engine you destroy the point of regen braking.
You still didn't give the source of your table I asked for. No source no validity obviously.
You can drop the childish comments if you want to be taken seriously outside of your local bar by the way
LOL - your favourite responseYou don't get tell others what to say....sorry but you're wrong again as usual.
You can adjust regen braking on Honda Ford Chevy hybrids and to some extent even Stelantis and Toyota but those simply has an a/b switch...You can't turn it off but you can turn it down which is what we've said all along. And those brands are for sure not the minority. As I said MOST have an adjustment.
I've driven several of those including Accord and Ford and so I have first hand knowledge of what I speak...If you think stop start is intrusive regen braking turned up is way way worse...lol
You don't need a source to tell fake ideology when you see it..The internet will tell you men can get pregnant...lol
Peace.

LOL - your favourite response
Well our Ford PHEV does not have adjustable brake regen - hey but what do I know I only own one
What the hell has ideology got to do with how hybrids work?
Still no source for your table - did you make that up as well?
You were not specifying which hybrids hence the reason I was being very specific regarding PHEV / FHEV or even EV to avoid confusion. Hybrid covers far too many different types I'm afraid. You're the only one mentioning plug in hybrids...
lol
Don't be afraid...there are two basic types of hybrids plug in and non plug inYou were not specifying which hybrids hence the reason I was being very specific regarding PHEV / FHEV or even EV to avoid confusion. Hybrid covers far too many different types I'm afraid.
But just to confirm the Ford FHEV doesn't have adjustable regen either
Don't be afraid...there are two basic types of hybrids plug in and non plug in - Well actually that isn't correct, you mention FHEV and PHEV, which I did, but you obviously forgot mHEV, REHV (REEV) and also FCEV all of which are hybrids. No reason the be smug it seems.Don't be afraid...there are two basic types of hybrids plug in and non plug in
Plug in's make up about two percent give or take of all hybrids...lol so you are wrong as usual and still digging the hole deeper trying to get out lol...ain't gonna happen
But just to confirm... we never mentioned plugins and we never said ALL we said MOST have adjustable braking and as usual this side of the world is right again...
No not smug at all...;)
and to be fair plug in hybrids are as dumb as plug in ev's....hence no one wants them either it seems...
Peace....I'm out for fish and chips.

We don't all live in the USA. PHEV's make up a much larger proportion outside the US and have a very strong market because of what they do in other parts of the world.
Global sales of plug in cars are soaring so lots of people want them it seems, must all be idiots ehh![]()

Ignoring your silly comment.Plug ins sale are dropping in the smart countriesThe US sold over a million non plugins...about 10 percent of ev's and 148k plug ins as it dropped from previous years to under 2 percent...
So now hybrids are getting better but not plug ins really but over here for sure as they dropped 4% and as non plug ins proliferate they will drop even more....Some day you may be right again....but never on cars...lol Sales in Europe notwithstanding....They'll eventually figure it out too...Just takes a little longer for some.![]()
