It's obviously the Mach-4, guys...according to myself it's going to have a naturally aspirated V16, AWD with optional 4WD, and best of all, a gated six speed CVT!

(...this is [an admittedly horrible] joke for anyone who dares take this post unironically.)

That ford event was disappointing to see. Just re-announced the same vehicle they showed off this morning.
Yeah fuck me every day, and twice on Sundays. That pissed me off, not gonna lie. I was just going off the official announcement showing the teaser. I assumed Ford wasn't gonna act all cute and secretive hinting at a reveal tonight, only to reveal the car was something they'd already officially revealed, but I was wrong.

The redbull event is coming up in a few hours, and we know because Ford is partnered with them, they'll almost certainly be in attendance, and be giving more info. But I doubt that'll manifest with any street products, it would be really cool if it did, but it won't.

Did the you see the Ford V8 hypercar announcement? That was the best part of the event to me. But we’ll prob have to wait another year to see it

I figured out what happened! Ford revealed the SC earlier today, let the press record all their vids and everything, then Will Smith showed up and wiped their memories. So tonight they were like "OH SHIT WE NEED TO REVEAL THE DARK HORSE SC!!"

I'd never knock a thread BUT this constant recurring talk about corvettes - isn't there a forum for delusional corvette owners, somewhere?????......I don't care how much faster a friggin' corvette is. My friend has one I have accompanied him to their coffee and cars ...... looks like a bunch of seniors playing with transformer toys. Effin uglier every year. Then I start my GT to leave and and they all turn around - I bet, until they see the stang, they all wonder who got his 'vette to sound so good. I used to like corvettes but the last decade - effin ugly junk. Give me one and I wouldn't be seen driving it - put it right up for sale and buy a real car ..... Mustang GT.

They are in a weird spot

they made the mustang more expensive and fancy, to the point where the dark horse is the same price as a Corvette. So the comparison is bound to happen.

then to make it worse, instead of building something like the Ford GT (which was supercar status at the time), they added on to the Mustang to make the GTD.

Which for as amazing as the car is, it carries over too much from the Mustang, it's too heavy, and doesn't make enough power to compete with actual supercars.

so they kind of fucked themselves. On the low end and on the high end.

I like the football reference!

Imagine a team spending twice as much as another team and losing every game to them including the Superbowl. But at least the Superbowl was a close game right?

That's the GTD vs ZR1 and maybe that's a bit disappointing to some.

Caring about lap times but not the 'ring time is like someone caring about football but not the Superbowl.
I think it’s fun and interesting to compare ‘Ring times, but people act like it’s the be-all, end-all of car performance when in reality it’s just one data point. Also, most Americans—even those that track their cars domestically—will likely never have the opportunity to drive the Ring. I can’t get too fussed over a car’s performance on a track I’ll likely never drive versus its performance on tracks I can actually take my car to.
