We could only hope. Even with the 2 new models and the Halo car being announced Thursday, I doubt they'll even come close.

The quarter-mile run comes in 8.675 seconds at 159 mph, with the figures coming from testing on a prepped surface.

What halo car? It's believed that reveal is the GT 500 thing that was leaked earlier. I want to believe a gt or something else is coming, but it's looking less likely.

It's been mentioned in here and several news articles over the last few months. No one is sure if it's a new GT upgrade or if it could possibly be a street legal version of the Raptor T1.

I know, I was active in those posts on this site. But it seems like this all new performance car is an s650 variant with this new gt 500 replacement.

I hope I'm wrong, a new supercar, off-road or other wise would be freaking badass, but it's looking less likely. The only car they've teased thus far is this new mustang. So either they're being really secretive, which could be the case, they did hide the last Ford GT literally until the moment it was revealed, even the Ford employees working in the same building didn't know it existed. So there's a possibility we'll get another surprise, but who knows.

In the leaked photo yesterday, there was a Raptor T1 in the background as well, which could just be Ford Performance showing off its current models. It's hard to say what else could have been in the photo as well that we didn't see. I'm still looking forward to Thursday's event.

Did farley slip and mention some new truck just a few minutes ago while touring the 150 plant?

Then again, we also did recently get more info on this off-road supercar from Ford authority with sources talking about what the driving experience was like, and that Multimatic was gonna build it. So if they're working out what the handling is like, and where it's gonna be made, that makes me believe this vehicle, and it's reveal, is basically right around the corner.

Hameedi is also revealing details about their off-road hybrid this month, probably in Detroit, and have said they're partnered with a large existing car brand for the development. I personally believe this is Ford, and if I'm correct about them being partnered with Ford on this, it means it's highly likely that Ford will reveal details, or the car itself in Detroit.

It could really go either way at this point. I'll say this is really reminding me of the 2015 Detroit show. For those who don't know, there was a rumor Ford was gonna reveal a next gen GT at the show. I got excited, but as we neared, and nothing was announced, I became certain nothing was gonna come out of it. Then I woke up to the best looking supercar ever made. Hopefully this is a repeat of that event.

Hell yeah, I noticed that as well. This could be Ford just being like, look at our motorsports products next to our production cars and how they influence each other. Or it could be a wink/nudge moment.

Something else worth noting, that RS 200 concept I've shown off before. The RS 200 is the only off-road supercar Ford's made up to this point, and they recently trademarked the name. The team who designed it said there would be more revealed and more info coming in late 2025, and that never happened. Maybe they plan to revealing an actual rs 200 off-road supercar and just bumped that announcement to Detroit?

Hopefully it's an s650 variant like that. I would rather it be something performance that's mainstream that people buy instead of a supercar that you just see pictures of.
