No regrets, but my Whipple/VMP Stage 1 blower is having an issue. Bought the blower at the end of May and professionally installed in June. Never raced, just sounded terrible after starting up recently. Currently at the speed shop waiting to hear back

Sounds like a bad bearing in one of the pullies.

RB281,

I feel your pain. I have a brand new Whipple Stage 1 that I can't drive. It's throwing a code.

I have checked everything Whipple has asked, even sent a datalog of which I got no response.

Tech support at Whipple just asked me to send pics of the car.

Not sure how this is going to resolve a continuing code issue.

Anyone know what Whipple's return and reimbursement policy is, BTW?

make sure your car is not eating belts. One of my pullies on Roush charged Stang, one of the bolts (too long) had been incorrectly installed.

You had to look really close to be able to tell which bolt was it. Only reason I could tell was it started shredding a belt on the end. It ate an entire rib of the belt. Good luck. Hope you get it resolved, nothing more infuriating.

Junkyard Dog,

P219B.

Drive exclusively under 3K, no code. The moment I run it up to 4.5K, CEL comes on.

Spent $12,500.00 for kit and install, and car is now defective.

Fixing the P219B should be relatively simple. Finding the vacuum leak, injector, or 02 sensor, etc that is causing the problem will be time intensive, but not impossible; Especially if a shop does the work.

Smoke test - no issues at all.
Injectors are brand new Ford GT500's, however one or more could be faulty.
Car has 4,800 miles total, virtually new, stock exhaust manifolds and CAT's; never disturbed O2 sensors.

Ran perfect until the Whipple install.

I would think a detailed log, that was sent to Whipple 4 days ago, would give an indication of the area of concern. Whipple won't comment on the log, I've asked.

This is why you need to always DIY, these dealers are in over their heads, I don’t trust them.
The install was super easy, good luck, I’m sure it will get sorted with pressure

If you upload your log to google Gemini or chatgpt, you will receive decent analysis on the logs. Tell the AI everything; leave out nothing. The AI will give you remarkable insight into what your logs are telling you.

If you don’t understand something, tell the AI to explain in more detail. Also, tell it to explain why it came to a certain conclusion. It isn’t perfect, and it isn’t a master tuner, but it does a decent job deciphering the gigantic spreadsheets of data and figuring out how that correlates to any trouble code you’re seeing.

Hopefully, that will help, especially if whipple isn’t responding.
