Amf (wait, they owned harley there for a bit)
True, but HD has no product for anyone under 70, they do nothing to cultivate a younger buyer and develop brand loyalty. Every one of their products is over priced.

I could write a book in HD's design failures over the last 25 years.

No place on planet earth uses big heavy overpriced V Twins, and HD is making smaller bikes overseas for other markets but they are getting their butt kicked by the long established Asian manufacturers. They tried to manufacture and sell in India where small bikes are the norm and they failed miserably.

Somehow Chrysler got the domestic market for the youth market looking for domestic HP, Chargers are very popular with certain groups. Ford missed that boat.

Crappy engines?

Strong disagree, the coyote is probably the most robustly built engine in modern history, people are making 1,000 HP plus without even touching the long block
Have you worked on anything besides the Coyote?

The Ecoboosts are garbage, the timing sets are failing at 50K miles.

The 5.4 was garbage

the 2.7 eco is a disaster, although the second gen 3.5 for some reason holds up. the first gen 3.5 is a woof woof

3.8 V6 head gaskets

6.0 and 6.4 powerstrokes ring a bell?

I follow what they offer, and as a guy with 2 in my garage I say I will never buy another.

I am partial to Kawasaki's and got my 2017 C14 brand new for half of what I paid for my used 2013 FLHTK in 2014.

Nice, i’ve got an ‘03 sportster, the wife has an ‘04 (sportster - lowered), and we have an ‘01 fatboy we bought used. If you don’t count a failed stator hardly a problem with either one. Do you like the saki because it’s newer or ? Surely can’t be comfort.

Can’t say i’m overly enthusiastic with the new stuff but that’s usually a sign of trying to cater to a new crowd, even electric heresy.

Having worked at a Harley dealership I've ridden many 2003 to 2007 models from Ultras to Sportsters. I don't like them, they aren't the kind of bike I lust after. A bit like EV's in fact, I don't consider them proper cars.
But I do think the bike industry has a very rocky future ahead unless the next generation or two develops a taste for adrenaline and risk.
It doesn't look promising.

Hopefully we can hang in there awhile longer, the writing is on the wall

Google’s autonomous cars drove 1 million trips a month in 2025, plans are 1 million per week in 2026 and expansion globally. Between them, TSLA and I’m sure Ford/GM are working solutions, driving isn’t gonna be around forever

A 10 fold reduction in accidents is what google has found so far.

Would you buy a mustang without a steering wheel?
WTF! What's the point! Glenn

It is a very comfy bike, even with the hard as concrete Corbin seat I put on it.

It has great wind protection, much better than my ZRX had and a little better than my ZZR has, it goes faster than my comfort level including 11 second quarter miles with my fat ass on it, and it can easily get below 11 into the 10's with a lighter skilled rider

It also has 2 saddle bags that pop on and off easily.

A set of bar risers lets me ride in a more upright position.

I paid $12,500 for it brand new in 2017, a friend that sells at a Kawi dealer knew I wanted one but not to the tune of the $17K they were going for but for some reason Kawi was dumping inventory by heavily discounting them so at 12.5 it was too good a deal for that much bike.

Not bad. I prefer to ride naked but one winter while riding the wife’s bike (she was snuggled on the back) i did get to experience the difference a windscreen/shield makes. Below freezing with a 60mph windchill and the …. will freeze fairly quick.

For thread consistency, if the mustang is the harley is the saki the mach-e?

There was very little that could go up against the C14 and win, a Busa, a ZX14, almost any Tesla would be able to go faster. I don't know what the Mach E can do though

Nothing out accelerates a electric vehicle.

There was a kid from Nalpes FL Jesse Dalba that had one of the first Harley electrics.

He wanted to go to Sturgis and document his trip as he went, trying to stretch charges to get to the next charging station, etc

But when he got to Sturgis there was some drag event going on and someone convinced him to run it on a completely stock electric bike that he road from Florida and he took the trophy in his class against a gas powered bike

What's the point of that?

It's supposed to be a driver's car... The AT is already a stretch but if they take the steering away I don't see the purpose of mustangs or sports cars anymore. I couldn't care less how my cab/taxi looks like...
People are entitled to their preferences, so I don't harp on the AT/MT debate, but I 100% agree.

I had more than one person tell me the mustang was all electric now. They had no idea the ICE version still existed.
I'm convinced a lot of people on car vids are either braindead, or trolls. You'll literally see a vid for the reveal of an ICE performance car, hear the sound, see the exhausts, and people will be like, is it electric?

Saw this on the reveal for the Genesis supercar, but I've seen it with GTD and other Ford products vids.
