Disabling Electronic Sound Enhancement and ANC for subwoofer install

Mine is the Dark Horse, and it pretty clearly is noticed at the extreme (Track Mode, 6-7000 rpm full throttle) that something electronically enhanced is going on. It is not so seamless as to be "real" - this sudden blast of noise

Thank you for posting that, I thought it was just my imagination. It's ridiculous in track mode.

You need a very very good microphone to record it in a quality that you can seperate fake and real noise. Recording will not do anything. There will still people say that the sound they hear is real.

But a before and after should demonstrate a difference? You know, like those exhaust vids.

That is only possible with high quality instruments. The fake noise is on top of the real noise. So even when recording, the difference is too small with a normal phone or camera.

You can't even grab the real sound of your exhaust, let alone differentiate between fake and real sound that has way lower sound level.

I wonder if there is a way to put high quality instruments near the larger speakers in the rear. On a day when the road is cold and damp, put it in Drag Mode, start rolling forward, and, before it is out of first gear, just stomp on the gas suddenly but briefly, just long enough to hit the top of first gear and go into the next. Then let off.

One recording before and one recording after the change.

The condition I am describing is a very rapid onset of noise, because the tires slip, and all 500 horsepower at the peak are roaring to life all at once.

The electronics make a drastic and sudden change to keep up.

In the condition I just described above, the sound does not sound real, at least in person, sitting in the car. Whether that can be captured in a recording, I do not know.

Which makes it all the more interesting, if perceptive it should be able to recorded since mic and speakers are capable of frequencies beyond human hearing.

Now put a bee in your house and at the same time play a video of a bee making bee sounds and record it together with the bee flying in your house.

What are you going to expect to hear in your recording? And how can others hear the difference of the real bee and the fake bee sound?
