GT is the C8 - Poor Boys car
Those "poor boys" who bought C8s could afford a Dark Horse. I wonder why they're not interested. :)

Because they cant drive a MT? 🤣

C8 is a great weekend car, no doubts. But a manual DH to me is more fun enytime and its also a pretty practical daily drive.

What's the real argument if there really is one? I bought what I wanted and could have bought a lot more of a lot of cars out there. I just wanted what I got so I ordered it.

On another note, going into debt to buy any kind of Mustang is something people do but I'll never understand it. Said it before and said it again. Slavery went out of style a long time ago, 🤣

I have a 2024 GT with PP, Auto, NP, active exhaust. MSRP $52,575 but I got Plan X price plus a $1250 discount so total $48,838 and that was last December. My car looks and drives fantastic and I get a lot of compliments and people often ask if it's a dark horse. I don't know if I could have got a DH last year which I doubt and if I did it probably would have been $30K more. I have 486 HP vs 500 and the tuning you get with the PP. So that's why I don't get the DH, enlighten me.
#1 Difference is you spend that $30K more, and you will get it all back at time of sale.

They are holding their value almost to MSRP.

I did not go the Dark Horse route... and I wish I had for that reason.

I bought a 2025 5.0 GT w/ PP, AE, and got $8000 off - it was $58,600 MSRP, I bought it for a hair over $50K.

It's worth $32K on trade in.

Meanwhile, if I'd ordered a Dark Horse, even the Base Model, and paid $67K for it, it would be worth $65K in trade in.

Not to mention the better transmission, better internals (engine), larger wheels / tires, standard mag ride suspension and a million other items.

Is it worth the money if you can't afford it? Nope. HP per $ is better on the Mustang GT if that's all you can afford.

If you have the means, and aren't going to keep it forever, then the Dark Horse is the ONLY logical decision.
