lol I'm asked that at the same time, so tell my long suffering and good natured wife one of the following: "immigrants, we get the job done..." or "there could be someone behind me but I wasn't looking for them..."

Thanks for the fix being to swerve across the road, I mean, provide some steering input. That's probably less aggressive looking than me explaining in no uncertain terms that I bloody well AM holding the steering wheel, thank you very much!

The reason I asked that is that 1st week out of Traffic Cop school I was doubled up with one of the old hands, and he asked the same question.
I said yes. He said, "who are you indicating to?"
That example of common sense struck home. Why book someone when there is just a technical offence?
