So I wanted to show everyone the issue with the cruise control. Please note, that I did not touch anything on the steering wheel or the accelerator. Went from the set speed of 68 to 80 without touching anything! Going back to the dealer in a few weeks to get this fixed. certainly a safety issue.

Do you have speed sign recognition enabled for adaptive cruise? You can disable it in the settings, under Driver Assistance.

It is enabled but I was on a road where the speed limit was 60.

I wonder if the system misread that as 80. Not saying it's ok, just speculating on why it happened.
We had issues with that system detecting construction/temporary speed signs in our Explorer. I never felt comfortable using it.

Please let us know what you find out at the dealer.

Hopefully, it's not a deeper issue (I.E. recall).

The adaptive speed setting does appear to jump to 80 for some reason.

Any chance you are changing drive mode? I read another thread that mentioned different cruise control activity based upon drive mode.

Nope, I have not changed any modes. Drive it in normal for right now.

My F150 would read a 60 mph speed limit as 80 and aggressively accelerate to reach that speed when I had Bluecruise set. Took a few times going past the same sign to realize what was happening.

Disable speed sign recognition for adaptive cruise and see if it stops doing that. Simple test, and good info for dealer when the time comes.

My F-150 will misread a detour sign to Highway SS as a 55mph sign
