I believe if you are getting the water on the passenger front floor carpet after rain/wash, then you are going to have the issue. The BCM sits right above that footwell behind the plastic where the water would run down, drip on it and onto the floor. I believe thats the tell tail sign is the water on the passenger side foot well carpet/soaked into the carpet. In the below picture, the blue cover is where the BCM hides behind and where the water drips down from the base of the windshield down that interior chassis structure behind the blue panel, into the BCM and onto the floor.

Has anyone here had a bcm issue due to corrosion caused by water?

HI-YO SILVER gets lots of loving. Wash every week. Plus here in the tropics we have at the moment Monsoon rains from Hell.
ZERO problems. (hopefully it stays that way)

I washed Honey Blue today and took the hose and purposely blasted water down under the cowl, especially on both sides. Not a drop inside as far as I can tell. Now of course I didn't take off the kick panels so water could be accumulating in some pocket back there. I have had my windshield replaced a few months ago so the last thing I want is Ford screwing around with it. My car is outdoors 24x7 and I have not noticed any leaks. At this point it's at the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" stage.
I did the same thing last week and pulled the kick panels not a drop of water anywhere. It also sat outside all day at work for 2 days in the rain and pulled them again nothing. Ford repair is out and spoke to my dealer. They have to lift the windshield to do the recall. No way in hell are they pulling up my windshield. Car is over 17 months old and never an issue. I was told I don't have to do the recall but if I have an issue in the future Ford could deny a claim.
