1000 bucks maximum if you do not itemize. But take it if you can, as that means $1000 in income that is not taxed.I do have several charitable donations it sounds like I can deduct now!

LOL, seriously? You are way better off not paying interest for years . . .Once again, I'm being punished for saving up and buying my DH outright and not financing it...
Charitable deduction without itemizing doesn’t start until 2026.You can take this one even if you use the standard deduction, so, if you have a car note, get the interest and put it on your taxes as a deduction and save a couple few hundred bucks in taxes.
PS - Charitable deduction for 2025 is available even if you take the standard deduction. So there are two you might be able to use.
