I am a car guy and always have been and the OP's cars are cool but where is all this power used? We all know and I don't think it's a stretch to know it's on public roads. I know what highway the Saturday night street racing takes place on around here and everyone here knows where it takes place in their locale. There are some cars with serious power taking part. I won't ever be joining them. I'll just enjoy listening that black box on the dash.

Had a 22 Explorer ST wanted another one priced one out $67K 🫣

Friend has a Palisade went to the Hyundai dealer wow 😮 bought a brand new 25 Caligraphy Night Edition FULLY LOADED FOR $51K and 0% financing for 60 (free money)

Now it ain’t an ST - performance wise for sure but it still has balls and moves right along. Their paint work isn’t the greatest but the Tech, the engine, creature comforts are TOP NOTCH.

Hope it holds up, - loving it for the moment…?
It's been a great car so far. No issues.

There are many places you can take these cars. The drag strip, a road course, an event at an airstrip.

Too many people do stupid stuff on the street for sure. But for me the more power the better! You just have to be responsible, people buying these high powered cars would do well to have some driving instruction.

Too many young people with the money but not the sense to operate them.

My first track event I thought I was an excellent driver and then proceeded to spin my car 3 times on the first lap. The instructors pulled me in and we had a serious talk. After that I was grateful to have an instructor in the car to teach me how to really drive.

Go to a track event and you will be hooked!

We don't need 486 HP on public roads either. So your point is a little silly.

And many exotics are used on road courses. šŸ˜‰

OK Buddy, your story doesn't add up. You must be leaving out something crucial e.g. lost license due to speeding tickets, wrecked, or trophy wife divorce! 😲

Let me clarify, my last 3 cars were a 2021 Porsche 911 turbo S cab with 650 hp. A 2021 Ferrari F8 Tributo with 720hp and a Tesla Model S Plaid with 1020hp.

Some life changes forced me to sell all those hot rods and this is my first sports car in 2 years. Now I do really like this car, it has a lot of nice features, looks great, sounds awesome but it just isn’t that fast. (Relatively speaking)

I will definitely be getting a supercharger sooner rather than later. Of course different strokes for different folks and I know for a lot of people 480hp is plenty.

The Tesla was crazy fast, drive to the drag strip on stock tires, run a 9.2 at 150mph in the quarter mile and drive home. It sure doesn’t have the sound and feel of a V8 which I love but dang it was so fun and so fast.

Flame suit is on let her rip!
Man, coming from a variety of very hp cars I am not sure anything less can move the needle...but I will say driving this DH with a manual is very engaging which was my deciding factor moving away from a c8.
I am hopeful I can find a c7 zo6 manual if the prices level off or possibly another c8.

And I think you need to go touch some grass. He doesn't need to share personal details in order to legitimize his story to some knob on the internet.

Almost anything is going to feel not fast enough after the cars you've owned...getting the supercharger will help a bit.. cheers

The exhaust on the Mustang reminds me of my Superformance Cobra.

There is a guy down the road from me that has one of these and drives it every so often. Thing sounds awesome and is extremely deep. I can tell its him from when he first turns on our road.

The Superformance Cobra’s are very well done. Built new in a factory in South Africa, they ship them to their dealers in the US. The dealer will install the engine and transmission.

They are very period correct and the casual person would think it’s a real Cobra.

I have had 3 of them, every time I sell one I want it back. LOL

Yup - I agree, but most of these guys own GT's
Not quite sure how you Dark Horse fellas handle that extra ~14 horsepower. Must be scary. :giggle:
