I'm more into IMSA, the Proton WEC team seems to really be struggling with the mustang. A couple of years in, and they've gotten a couple of podiums, but 0 wins, and they're often towards the rear of the pack.

The IMSA GT3 mustang has come alive this season, but the WEC stuff has just been depressing thus far.

Hey friend, the Multimatic team doesn't race in WEC, it's Proton. Multimatic does the gt3 cars in IMSA though.

Who makes the Mustang GT3’s, Proton? I thought Multimatic makes them. Same for the Ford GT’s and the GTD right?

From my understanding, Multimatic makes the gt3 cars, and participates in racing them in IMSA. Multimatic doesn't race the mustang in WEC, but I believe they still build those GT3 racers.

It's kinda like how with the Ford GT, Ford raced it themselves, but so did private teams.

Yes. I like WEC; was stoked to see Ford Mustangs as 1 & 2 (while it lasted).
