Is there a way to switch between regular cruise control and adaptive cruise control on the steering wheel? I found a way to do it in the menu after reading the owner's manual but I could swear I have used both without using the touch screen before. Keep hitting or hold the gap button maybe? I keep getting adaptive cruise control not available messages but it doesn't tell me why. It seems to just work at random. I'm wondering if I should try cleaning the radar it uses with anything particular. I just cleaned a couple bugs off of it, cleaned the forward facing camera and I'm going to test it again later tonight but I'm wondering if I got some detailer on if I should clean it off with anything particular. Apparently the button right below the adaptive cruise control button it is just a speed limiter and you have to keep your foot on the gas for it to work.

I figured it out if anyone runs into this down the road. You can't run cruise control and track mode at the same time. It doesn't tell you this when you try to turn cruise control on in track mode and the owner's manual does not tell you this either. I prefer the sound of the exhaust in track mode so I kept running into this. You can still use the track gauge theme and cruise control at the same time which is nice because that and Fox Body are my favorites. Luckily I like the sound of sport mode quite a bit too so I'm just switching to that when I want to use cruise control as well.

I just press the adaptive cruise control button on the steering wheel and it works as intended.

Then run in sport mode and put the exhaust in track mode?
Thanks for the recommendation! This worked as well. I'm guessing it's just full blown track mode that blocks cruise control.

No.

F150 (XLT, Lariat, KR, Plantinum, Tremor), Explorer (2025 ST-Line, ST and Platinum), Mach-E (203+), and Expedition (2024 Platinum)

I have (had) it on my 2021 F150 Platinum. I would rate it 5/10 or 6/10 performance wise. I had it for a little over 2 years and had the opportunity to re-up for 3 more years for $200/yr ($600 for three years paid in full for 2021 Job 1 F150's) when it expired at the end of last year. It wasn't worth $200/yr, nor is it worth the $800 per YEAR they want now.

And be careful about the intelligent speed limiter button. I accidentally hit the button one day and was trying to merge into traffic and couldn't figure out why my car wasn't accelerating. Luckily, there was no one behind me while I was trying to switch lanes and merge onto the on-ramp. I didn't even realize an intelligent speed limiter was a thing until this vehicle 😂

Me either. I'm coming from an old 2012 Cruze with cloth seats. I was trying to use it thinking it was the normal cruise control instead of adaptive cruise control, it automatically set a speed limit in accordance with the posted speed limit and I thought the car was stalling on the highway.

The gas pedal always overrides the cruise control. Not sure I would even attempt to merge into traffic while relying on cruise control. Merging means you adjust your speed to match traffic.

You can set a tolerance for that, too. Haven't checked the DH yet, but in my F150, I think it's plus or minus 9 MPH.

This was not cruise control, but the speed limiter function itself, which means giving more gas will NOT override the feature. I know you can override the cruise control feature.

In the owner's manual on page 229-231 (Intelligent Speed Limiter):

Tolerance for the Intelligent Speed Limit is covered on that page as well.

Good find. I'll have to remember that next time. I wonder if there is a way to just disable that button altogether 😅
