I am getting the same noises occasionally while in normal mode downshifting at low speed. My car is 11 months old with 3K miles. Taking it to dealer for the (free) oil change soon and will ask them to check struts. I'll report back what they say.

They said that with a visual inspection nothing looked abnormal but upon further investigation, they found that both struts were actually binding even though I was hearing it out of the right side. New struts, springs, mounts have been ordered. Idk of they'll find something based with a visual inspection. I would maybe let them know that. Maybe get it in sooner than later, parts are on back order.

Just throwing this out there because this is my first Mustang, Would the use of a Ford OEM or Aftermarket strut brace cause premature wear and or failure of the struts?

Doubtful since all magnaride cars have come with strut braces going back to the S550.

If I had to guess, I'd bet on improper transport, or an electrical issue.

From what I was told by the dealer the struts themselves are defective which makes sense to me as I've experienced the issue in customers cars before. In my case, over a bump there was no problem but if there was a sudden dip in the road there was a significant clunk.

It sounds like a rubbery clunking. I have dashcam footage but it doesnt do it justice. I only heard it at lower speeds and was very inconsistent. It sounds like it could be related.
I’ve had the same issue with mine since Ive had it, very low speeds and inconsistent like a thud or clunk I wonder if it’s the same issue

Mr Zuko,
Took delivery of my 24 D.H. 12/27/23.
May of 24 less than 1200 miles on it. Same problem. Long story short. Took into the local ford dealership. Mine was on the rear only but, they had the car for 7 weeks, waiting for parts. I couldn't drive mine because it put a limit on mph to 55. The dealership said better just leave it until we can fix it. So I did. Got 3200 miles now, with a whipple also. I've done some pretty hard launches and no problems at all. And it's putting 850 rwhp. So very pleased.

I'd get it looked at. If the strut is binding, it really isn't safe at highway speeds.

If the strut is binding, it really isn't safe at highway speeds. Since I take the wife and kids in it everywhere, it'll be sitting in our garage until parts come in.

It was unfortunate that my 21 Mach 1 had this issue at 26,000 miles and JUST outside of the bumper to bumper warranty. Did you know these magneride shocks and struts are around $700 a piece? Not counting the labor to install them.

Needless to say, I now own a 25 GT with regular shocks and struts, because regular gas shocks are completely fine on the road, and they are cheaper to replace outside of warranty.

Mr. Zuko:
I agree with you 💯 percent. When the wife takes a ride, I have to put the exhaust on quiet mode, and I better not try as she says to "Flex my Muscles" . I don't clown when I have somebody in the car either. But it's getting close to the end of the year for my DH. I'll be putting it up at the end of the month. Enjoy your, be safe.

Hope this helps you. BTW tires are michelin pilots. Rides really great. I use Sport mode 99% of the time. It's a beast. Drag Mode it shifts so good . I love the 10 speed and it's crazy fast. Best time 10:63 135 mph 1/4 mile. On the pilots.
