Just got my 2024 Eco Premium. Nicest car I’ve ever owned. And I have plenty of time to make sure she’s clean, but what singular product should I be using? Is there one? I can spend all night wiping down the engine bay, enjoying the process, but can I do better? What product do you recommend? Anything I can use preserve the prettiness? Wheels, leather, paint? Is there an all-in-one?

In before DFB....

There is no one magical miracle product; some get close and can do a couple of things but no one product, other than really water, can be used everywhere lol

Here is what I use...

All the cloth towels, mitts, and applicators (minus foam cannons) are my own products so those are covered.

As for the chemicals / product I use a mixed bag after a couple of years of research and several very detailed conversations with a certain Aussie.

WHEELS/TIRES:

P&S Brake Buster
for my wheel/tire cleaning (foam cannon applied)

NOTES:
- Do not overspray onto the body; if you get some on the body paint don't let it dwell.

Bilt Hamber Atom-mac for my rust inhibitor (for my rotors)

OG Tire Dressing for my tires although CarPro PERL is where I started and is much more affordable.

NOTES:
- For CarPro PERL I would use either a 50/50 or a 75/25 ratio unless you want more gloss

BODY/CHASSIS:

CarPro RESET
for my shampoo (foam cannon applied and some in a wash bucket)

NOTES:
- I use 100ml of RESET to 800ml of water in a foam cannon. Thick but not too thick, will still run a little and give an active coating.

Armour Detail Supply AMPLIFY for my Drying Aid

Stoners Invisible Glass for my windows inside and out. Tint safe.

NOTES:
- If I need a little more oooomph, on the outside only, I use Windex.
- Spray on cloth, not on window. No overspray that might touch the car.

ENGINE BAY:

NV Snow+
to clean engine bay (apply with foam cannon, agitate with brush, rinse with water)

Meguiar's Hyper Dressing for my engine bay post-wash treatment.

NOTES:
- I use 80ml of HyperDressing to 320ml of water then spray (IK Multi Pro 2) over engine bay
- You can use a leaf blower to spread it into hard to reach areas
- Product self levels. No need to dry. Just close hood and walk away

As for the interior stuff, I haven't really delved into that yet.

Sorry, but no. Keeping you new car looking good is going to require time and effort. But it is sooo worth it.

This is from out resident expert on all things detailing, @DFB5.0. it’s a lot to read but totally worth it.

I keep it simple:

Meguiars Quick Detailer and Quick Wax and microfiber. (Look up Shiny Wipes on Amazon) I do body and wheels with that. You can’t even set a towel on my hood without it just gliding off.

Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Foam applied with a sponge on tires and engine bay….and any plastic parts I want to have a luster.

Stoners Invisible Glass on windshield.

That’s pretty much it…

So the answer is no! :giggle: :like:

By the way, what do you use to wash your car? Clean wheels & tires?

My car is garage kept and I have other cars to take out on rainy days. So I don’t really wash the car, just mist with Quick Wax and wipe.

After every few drives I mist the wheels with Meguiars Quick Wax and wipe with microfiber.

Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Foam cleans and shines the tires very nicely. I apply with a sponge so there’s no sloppy overspray.

You could go in my garage right now with a white glove, run your hands over any part of my car, and come out with clean fingers.

Of all the products I have on my shelves, I have it boiled down to 4 things:
Meguiars Quick Wax
Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Foam
Car sponges
Shiny Wipes microfiber towels…or even better…these….you never felt car drying towels this soft and plush.

My Shadow Black 2024 GT Premium is a times a bit of a challenge. I use my car in dry weather only. My go to products:
1. For exterior, a couple of coats of Nu-Finish Wax, and then maintenance with WIZARDS MIST AND SHINE. It's way better than Meguiar's!
2. For interior, tires, and all rubber and plastic parts I use 303 Protectant, super non greasy product.
3. For glass, go cheap with 1 cup distilled water, one cup white vinegar, and about 10 drops of Blue Dawn Dish Washing Soap. Mix in a Walmart spray bottle.
4. For my wheels, I use a Swifter Duster to clean brake dust along with a blowgun off my air compressor.
