Well I have a Dark horse with the Tremec and love it. As for which is better that's up to you. I find automatics are fine for daily stuff. However I like to go out after dinner and drive my car shifting gears is how to drive. If you want straight line driving get the auto.
Well said, same here… I drive mine to destinations to mountain bike , golf; get tacos. Brings a smile to my face to shift gears! And if I go to the track it’s really how it should be done. Felt out of place with my auto at the track.
Almost anytime someone stops me to compliment my car at a gas station or Home Depot parking lot they ask, “is it a stick”

Buy what you want! Period! Both transmissions have their good and bad points. Personally, after owning BULLITTS and Shelby's with manuals, I finally went with the 10 spd auto in my 2024 GT. I had my fun but at my age I like the edge that the A-10 gives me. I do a lot of short trip city type driving. The A-10 makes life easy for me. If I want to act a bit crazy, it's got modes and paddle shifters.
The 6 spd is fun to drive. You can wind it out, power shift, and play all kinds of games with sound. Get it out of your system....
If you use the car as a daily driver...get the A-10!

I guess it depends on what your interpretation of “winning” is. First across the line is less consequential to me than the driving experience. I’ll take a slower car for a more engaging drive any day.

Comparing automatic with manual is like comparing playing with yourself to making love. Both will ultimately get you to the same destination; one’s just a hell of a lot more fun along the way. 😁

Having said that, no dis on anyone that drives one, love petroleum car culture in all its variations.

I guess winning could get boring. Everything is half assed backwards these days. Winning is losing, losing is winning.

The only issue I have with the AT 10 speed is the shift points, and I am told that now that people have gotten into the computer for tuning purposed it is just a matter of time before someone gets a nice tune for the transmission.

For the way and amount I drive the car, I can paddle shift it in manual mode and be happy.

I am known to put it in manual mode/ first gear and come out of a light winding it up then slap the shifter into D and let it find its own way from there.

You want to pass somebody, one or two down clicks on the paddles and off you go.

Downshifting into lights works until you get to 4th then IMHO the gear ratios in the 10 speed that allow you to get going in a hurry are just too harsh of a downshift to go into 3, 2, or 1

YMMV

I specifically ordered my gt with the manual. It is pure pleasure and takes me back to my younger years. For me there was no reason to get one otherwise. I don't take it to the track. I agree it is a tad slower if you race etc but I care how it feels when I drive it. And wow, it's bad ass.

It's fun to shift. Until you're fed up with it. Best fun, when no one's in front or in back of you. But I didn't purchase it for fun, and need raw power.

For me a car is just a tool. The better tool is an automatic. It gets the job done fast, plus gets me home to my family safely. My reasons are different than most here. I don't race, track or sideshow, or do burnouts with or without an audience. If a better car was available I'd have it. It would have an automatic. I don't care for nostalgia. I want that which works.

Wow, now that’s a depressing response! Geez… lol

I prefer the Automatic b/c I detest driving a manual in traffic jams. Shift points change depending on driving mode anyway.
Dirtbike, Quad, or Streetbike for manual here.

The weird thing is, in the posts just before that they said they got the Auto because it's faster than the manual and they wanted "the raw power".

Now the car is just a tool to transport family and they don't race or track or do burnouts. 🤷‍♂️
