Maybe driving is very slow on an island, I don't know.

I love Track Mode, but when I am cruising along on the highway it drones in an annoying fashion in both ears, and I have to switch it.
People talk about leaving their home in their street. Doesn't matter if you live on an island or on the mainland.
When driving normally, the car doesnt make any noise at all.

Even in quiet mode on the active valve exhaust my car is loud enough to get attention. Even shifting up around 2k rpm and down around 1200 it’s still quite loud. It’s significantly louder in any other mode. I am curious what you’re driving if you feel it doesn’t make any noise under normal driving.

my last car was a Model 3 Performance. My opinion of what is or is not loud is probably different than yours.
I just compare the GT with a regular car. A GT that is just cruising, doesn't make much more noise than a regular car. Unless you hit it.

As I said in nother post, when in sport mode, driving slowly, my wife can hear me arrive in the street from her 5th floor office. Brand new, fully insulated, double glazed building.
She never heard the last car with an Akrapovic system.
She did say it was noticeable, but not annoying.

I put it on quiet for my neighbor when we go to dinner now and then. She utterly freaked completely out and went into panic mode when I got caught underneath a light that turned red once. I'll think about putting it in track mode and taking her for a ride some evening if she ever p.o.'s me, and it's close right now. On second thought, I don't want it all over the inside of my car.

Otherwise, it's in sport mode.

I came from an Audi A4.

The Dark Horse is loud.
Oh I agree. Even in quiet mode I’ll get loud pops when I let off the gas As I slowly roll through my neighborhood. Maybe the automatic just runs quieter.

In an automatic it just purrs along at about 1500 RPM. I think inside the car is a lot quieter than what people hear outside.

I know one thing, it doesn’t have the cruising drone my 06 GT had with Flowmasters. I didn’t mind it, but my wife said it gave her a headache. My new GT is just so much smoother. Inside with the windows up, I can’t even hear the exhaust in 10th gear cruise mode.

Check. In sport mode, if I want, it just lopes along a little quicker than idle. I can change that quick though.

I'm happy on short trips with Track mode but later in August I am driving to Toronto, so we'll see how far I get in track mode. Glenn

i used to use track mode a lot, but now my go-to is sport mode. i have quiet start set up too. one of the only times i use track mode is when i can see traffic is slowing ahead, so i put it in manual shifting and track exhaust so that people texting and driving look up to see the slowed traffic ahead. that and when i see someone recording with their phone, i put it into track mode and give them a little pull. i just cant stand the track mode drone when on the freeway all the time
