I hate this hood…. more aggressive aftermarket options?

but here we both are…

But you seem like you’re smarter more often than you’re not. Maybe you can tell me if I can paint a carbon fiber hood or if I have to get aluminum or fiberglass?

At least you have a nice car. You should've seen some of the S550s I seen today. Talk about ugly. The base rims they have belong as spares in the trunk. Even the lowest GT models have nicer rims. We say rims or mags not wheels.

My advice is make it your own. That's what owning a Mustang is all about. Personally I like the hood and don't like those hoods with huge cowls on previous Mustang versions. But many people do and that's fine. That's the beauty of the Mustang, there is something for everyone.

*can* you, sure plenty of cars have painted carbon fiber
*should* you, no 90% of the price is to look cool as carbon fiber, if you want to paint it, just get fiberglass.

Didn't mean to offend you. Just an honest thought.

There are several aftermarket hoods online if you look. Kinda depends on what your looking for.

As far as painting carbon fiber goes, I'm no expert on that. Im sure you can paint it. But to me the whole point of carbon fiber is look itself. If you're going to paint it anyway, why waist the money?

I'd argue there are more ugly S650 wheels. Especially the base GT.

I've owned four of them since. DH, DHP and two GT. Fact is I hated Ford. With 8 days I have bought two loaded GTs, one for me and my husband, and an F-150 XL to haul my cow around and maybe jet skis. Do I wish to show off, no. But it seems too many here are like show offs competing in grade school.

Sorry you're so late to the party. You missed out on a lot of great cars and history. Im curious how your hate turned into loving one of the most controversial mustang generations ever. Especially since the S550 and S650 are so similar in looks. Are you a former Camaro person by chance?

It’s all very subjective.
Back in the 60s fancy wheels were either American mags or the poor kids with chrome reverse wheels with baby moon hubcaps.
We all getting a little spoiled with so many choices of Wheels.
Like I said, wheels are subjective
