Looks like 2024 owners are the real winners here. All the original features + no auto start/stop
I'm a 2024 owner with start stop.

I'm happy that I have that function.
I'm not using it, but it fills up a blank spot.
Blank spots are something I dislike, especially when choosing all options.

I don't think the dual tb's were for emmisions, nor do I think they're overcomplicating the design at all.

I read that originally they put the dual TB's because some ford exec saw them on a ferrari and thought it looked cool. Led to a bunch of RnD and eventually we got what we have today.

Dual TB's wouldn't do much for emmisions, its just more air
It was 100% for emissions goals, and it made everything more complicated (more precise tuning needed) and more expensive (twice the parts). They talked about this from the very beginning of the S650 reveal.

Dude, find me an actual quote from Ford that it was specifically for emissions, not some AI garbage.

Its a high revving engine, it only makes sense to exploit that with better air flow

Don't trust AI all the way.

It's common knowledge that the dual TBs was an emissions move. Ford discussed it, people close to Ford like "RevnEvan" discussed it, vendors like LMR discussed it. It was all over the internet.

Dual tb's are to take advantage of higher revving motors with more free flowing dual cam heads, typically.

I guess ITB's on 4AGE Corolla motor, or the ten throttle bodies on the LFA are for emmisions too?

I guess the single TB on my buddies Toyota Matrix is for performance, then.

Its literally just a single extra throttle body, its not that much more complicated or expensive. My Honda has one main and 4 staged butterflies within the plenum, and its a Honda... Never broken, just a few metal plates. If one extra TB on the 5.0 means better airflow, its a no-brainer to add it.

A question out of curiosity more than anything else...if you want to order your Mustang with Ford Performance parts (exhaust, white taillights, etc.), does that usually take place when you talk to the salesperson about the order or after the fact?

I believe you would get the car with standard parts and you can have the dealer install those FP parts as a separate transaction, which would entail the cost of the parts themselves + labor.

I’ve read through all the changes, I think. I have a question: is there ANYTHING positive in the 2026 changes if you don’t linked the new FX appearance stuff? I can’t find anything and I was planning to order a 2026. I’m now thinking I need to find a 2024 or 2025 I like instead. That sucks because it was going to be the first new car I ever bought for myself at 45.

Unfortunately there is nothing better on the 2026.

Well, alright, 1 thing. They covered the inner fender holes.
That's about it lol.

You’d hope so but I’m not sure that’s confirmed lol. Also I can get that with a 25 and still be able to open my garage unlike the new ones.
