I think we are all car enthusiasts here,it just depends on what you are looking for.
When I started to look for a retirement gift for myself I narrowed it down to a
C8 ( no manual no back seat)
M2 ( 6 cylinder and body "styling" )
Early 2000's 911 (parts and engine power)
Gt 500 (price and transmission)
Mustang Gt/ Dark Horse
I chose the Dark Horse over the Gt for a few reasons,
1-A loaded Gt was approaching Dark Horse money,
I ended up getting 6k off msrp
2-stronger lower end ( I plan to install headers and a supercharger soon)
3-Better cooling,
4-suspension (i don't care about a rough ride) And I think the handling pkg rides fine
5-Tremec transmission- i love the shifting feel
6 and 7-The wing and the front splitter ( makes it look more aggressive and will help at the occasional track session.)
8-blue ember paint ( just like the way it looks with bronze wheels)
I'm sure there are a few more im not thinking of but for me that's more than enough
The one thing I didn't like were the pirelli trofeo rs tires.( no grip in cold temperatures) I will save them for the track.
I bought the Car in December and ordered a set of continental DWS06 for winter
and a set of replica GTD wheels with PS4S 325 FRONT AND 355 rear. Tons of grip.
2000 miles and many more to come hopefully.
Yup we're definitely on the same page, getting 6k off MSRP is definitely the icing on the cake, congratulations brother.

Yep, DH= Mach 1 +
Better chassis and interior. I know as I had a Mach 1 for almost 4 years and 28k miles.
Pay to play and it’s worth it!
Average price for a car in America is approaching $50k
Oh and if a Camaro is your favorite car then that explains everything in this whole thread ,
To me the Darkhorse would be perfect if it had the body color matched front bumper, weighed a bit less, and cost around 55k.

I've seen other videos of you which briefly entertained me as I can tell you're a car enthusiast and you feel joyful(as you should)driving a supercharged v8 around your streets. But I dont need to see this one.

Youtube is full of amateur videos(no offense) knocking down the DarkHorse and full of professional(not influencers) videos praising it.

Those that knock it down usually either cant afford it, are drag racers, dont take it to a road course and/or simply dont own it.

Those that praise it are usually passionate/professional drivers/reviewers. Check out how much fun Misha is having with it around the Ring.

I only needed one reason to convince me buy a DH over a GT: its better. Not going into the details of why as they've been explained countless times on this forum. If you're interested the info is there.

Mach1 is close to a DH but the s650 interiors are miles better.

I think I need to drive it to really get the hype, I drove a GT350 and was close to buying one, but to me the Camaro SS 1LE was still a better car because of the low end grunt, if the Darkhorse has that same low end grunt that the SS 1LE has but with the top end feel and handling of the GT350, then I just might buy one and swap out the front bumper cover for a GT front bumper cover.

So you did a video about why a GT is better than a DH, but you've never actually driven a DH. Strong work. 🤡
Haha I knew when I wrote that comment you would rush back to the forum to say exactly what you did  I know you didn't watch my video Ryan so you'll know that I never once disparaged the driving dynamic of the Darkhorse, it was mostly about cost to buy, cost to maintain, looks, weight, and the price your paying for straight line performance as far as 0 to 60 times, which are all quantifiable. I once heard someone say that negative people are always the easiest to predict, because they are incapable of doing good, so you can always expect whatever they do to be negative, thank you for never disappointing me Ryan

I believe I read something that stated the DH front end was designed that way for airflow to cool certain parts under the car. To me the front end looks like a Camaro. I like the previous generation of the Camaro. The Disco Camaros, especially with the T-top , eeeeeee. Not my cup of tea. 60s Camaros rock. Miss my 69 Nova 427 small block. Had way too much power straight from the bottom. That car is how my daughter got her DH, plus down payments for my brothers and his wife's GTs. All three got lucky. They got colors Ford no longer uses on Mustangs. The cats look sharp.

Oh okay that makes sense, I'm okay with the indentation I'd just like to see it body color matched and that would do it for me, and yup I think the S650 Mustang's resemble the 6th gen Camaro's from a couple of different angles.

Yep. Seen a Porsche side view and it looked like a cross betwe a Mustang and Camaro. Was a Vs. race video. Plus not only does the DH eyeliner takes away from the front end looks , but the hood whatever it's called. Paint looks better than some big black stickers. A delete is avaiyfor 2025. I believe it does have a function, and that has to be to cut glare for track racing. Just like the Saleen. Instead of chrome fender badges denoting 302, they now use stickers. I don't put stickers on my ride. Unless it's a metal Red, White, and Blue flag for the rear deck. Even then it must not be so huge it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I go tomorrow to have a look at a 2023 Nite Pony. Strange thing is the roof is not painted black, but that fine with me, a plus actually. All badges are black, needs chrome grill horse. A10/3.55, 24K miles. Even though it's an automatic I have to have a white shifter ball like my 63 Impala SS. She had lines like a beautiful diamond 💎. Ignition was so worn out any key would start her. That was common until the ignition was put on the column.
