I was wanting to be a mechanic but it doesn’t pay that well for how much work one puts in, im still trying to figure out what to do in life, im getting into finance so im gonna see if that is something that will work out for me

If that's your direction, then better plan on getting a degree, then a master's degree.. Lots of certifications, etc. involved in doing financial work for the public. A CPA is a good thing to have in the financial world too. If you're not academically inclined, learn plumbing or electrical stuff, for example, then start a company and contract out work because you'll reach a limit in how much you can make as just one person. Just another three cents.....

In all honesty the only reason id go to school for finance is to work on my understanding of the trading scene a bit more, and use that to my own advantage with stocks and all that good stuff, perhaps work for a bank or a broker, or something similar and make money for myself in the background in the meanwhile.

Only go to college if you have “an in” especially finance industry, you need to know before school, “my so and so is an executive for whatever top firm and I just need the degree from this school as a formality.

Sounds like you’ve already started down the correct path now just gotta work on the details in order to identify, desire, and obtain.

build what you want. Build it on paper, rebuild it on paper, and remod it on paper, verify all the mods and their interrelationships ( ie supercharged may need new shafts, that kind of thing). Do all your calculations, determine the associated costs, establish a budget and work towards that goal but do not let it interfere / damper the satisfaction of daily needs. Needs v wants, while wants give us goals satisfaction of needs give us the ability to want.

If you want to be a mechanic, you absolutely HAVE to specialize in something. Be the guy people come to for very specific issues. Whether its being the guy able to weld and repair harsh rust, or the guy who knows everything about a specific group of cars (60's, 70's, etc). Its the only way to really make money, otherwise you'll be 50 years old still only making slightly above minimum wage. I know plenty of life-long mechanics making shit pay, even though they're great mechanics.
Its the harsh truth. Being a mechanic doesn't typically pay for shit :(

There is nothing wrong with tracking the car as is but if you are chasing lap times/records, it will get costly.After hearing and seeing that tracking the car would require a lot more things than I accounted for i wont be doing that and ill just stick to having fun dailying it, i would appreciate any recommendations on upkeep and maintence with the whipple as a daily though, any cooling itd need? many thanks, of course i dont have the car but I wanna make notes on everything to account for.
I have done it all (drifting, track day, autocross, and drag) with mine already and it is all stock besides a MGW X-spec short throw shifter. For being a stock mustang, it did everything I wanted and surpassed my expectations. The most expensive part so far has been tires for drifting. I'd also like to note that the performance pack helped keep the car a bit cooler out on the track, especially living in the south where it is much needed.

I wouldnt be chasing lap times, just driving fast to have fun with the old man before he gets any older. but thanks that definitely helps me see a new perspective. how is the shifter? How many tires have you ran through? thats good to know ill keep that in mind, thanks!

Right on! The mustang will definitely handle the fun track days no doubt.
This is my first mustang so I can't speak about the previous s550 mt82, the stock one on the s650 felt pretty good but the MGW short throw is a much better feel and is a must have if you go manual.
I bought some s550 performance pack wheels that had fairly new Michelin tires and used those to drift on, so far only one set but I plan to try out some Nitto g2's next.

Are you close to a decision as to what route you need to take for yourself as you chart your future? I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in your plans and leanings at this point. We want you to get what you want and have successful outcomes in your life.
