Do you think Ford will continue producing Dark Horse in 2026? If so, what are the things that gonna be changed? Or there will be a new special edition? !

Pure speculation on my part, but I think it will be produced for another, if not two more years. Using other trims as a reference (GT350/R, Mach, GT500), Ford typically produces these for three to five years.

In the final year of production, Ford often creates Heritage Editions.

Setting that aside, we'll know in a few months. Order Guides and other information for the 2026 Model Year should be available late Summer, early Fall. I'd expect production for MY26 to begin in October.

سلام

Edit,

Handling Pack cars are not produced in the Winter Months (est. Oct-Mar). This has to do with Summer tires and safety concerns (loss of traction, cracking, failure, etc.).

With a new Hi-Po variant coming, I'd like to believe the Dark Horse will be produced for 2026, and then get phased out - akin to what happened when the GT500 was released. Part of me doesn't believe that the more advanced of the two prototypes we saw in the last month is going to be the Cobra.

With that said, I agree with the belief that the Dark Horse will get some sort of special send-off package. As to what it would be, I could only guess - I have no ideas.

Ford made it clear that the Dark Horse was a regular line model, not a special edition (like the Mach 1]. As such it should continue along with the EcoBoost and GT. As far as changes, don’t expect much for a 3rd year model. Now we are expecting a new top of the line model but no real info on specifics yet.

If it follows Dodge’s example, next there will be a ā€œDarker Horseā€, then they will finish up the line with the ā€œDarkest Horseā€ complete with a 60ā€ plasma. ;)

Make it a 75ā€ plasma and we may have a replacement for them led (lcd) displays that still don’t quite measure up, closest competitor is the oled but that’s a different forum. 😁

2024 Dark Horse...
2026 Dark Horse Midnight?
2028 Dark Horse Midnight BlackHoof edition??
2030 Shadowquestrian???

Ford, please, don't use these ideas, they're terrible. But if you do, can you send me a check?

I don’t agree
The Dark Horse and Mach 1 are the same concept by Ford. Serialized and limited production run. 15-16k , 2-3 years .
IMO

I'm just what Ford said in their initial release of the Dark Horse. Production is only limited by the number of orders so not a true limited edition model.

So, we don't know so far, bottom line. I suspect it will continue.

Just my opinion but I don't think there is enough differentiation in the Dark Horse to justify the MSRP difference. My dealer can't move the one in his show room and even they (kind of off the record to me) commented that they think it's over-priced. Not a good way to sell a car, but moving right along.......

More plastic, different wheels and tires, 14 more HP. It should have been 550 hp, but that's a lot with a NA 302ci block. So, then it would mean back to super charging and.......... Just another free opinion.

Exactly, they will stop building ANY model once they’re not making money. Putting a serial number on a new model is only a way to extract more money from buyers

I traded my 21 Mach 1 auto for the DH entirely for the Tremec. I agree it’s overpriced just like the Mach 1 was over the GT.
But if you buy smart and don’t overpay then it’s great bang for the buck.
Pre ordered my 21 Mach premium for msrp $56500 before Ford raised the price $5k when Covid hit. Got my 24 DH premium for $63k , sticker was $67k and now the same spec 25 DH goes for $72k.
That’s just stupid in my opinion and $63k was all it was worth to me so I bought it.
I never get killed when trading my new cars because I’m either smart or lucky.. lol

GT 350/ 500 are trademarked by Shelby Mach 1 is owned by Ford. Now seeing Ford and Shelby have gone there own ways. However Ford just retrademacked "Boss". So logicly the next one down the shut will be most likely be a BOSS of some kind.
