Thought I would start this thread for existing & any new members / beginners.
When searching Forscan I get 25 pages to go through, so was hoping we could keep something simple for all.

Am wondering what you have all ENABLED / DISABLED using Forscan on your S650. (am not interested in the 'As Built - spreadsheet).

What module/s did you perform the above in.

Did it cause any issues?

I added my gear number display yesterday (not off to a good start, think was the IPC module).

Also had a bit of scare this morning after doing the above yesterday, started the car & it was as though I disconnected the battery.

Tyre pressure was showing as Bar not PSI which I have it at. The change radio station direction buttons was changing the source not the station.
The saved stations were all reset, was like I had stations from interstate (am in Australia) & not local.

When I got back into the car and started it, all was back to normal. Thank Jeebers..

The experience puts me off changing anything else, but probably won't stop me.

Anyone know how to turn off the chime when car is on (but not running) & door is open (is like boong boong noise).

I checked the list of chimes but only relevant one I could see was with car running.

Thanks in advance.

Some of the changes you will do in forscan will do same as you described the tire pressure will change and the inside and screen colors will get back to factory that is normal for the colors just press the seat memory button and will go back to what you saved before
But for the tire pressure you will have to change it manually

Thanks for the reply . Of everything I read on Forscan, I hadn’t heard issues like one i had (or side effects of making a change.)so makes me nervous making changes, I don’t want to brick the car…

I’ll follow this thread. Lots of stuff scattered about, so this may help me also. Don’t want to screw something up, so will stick with the easy/simple mode where you enable/disable things. Only thing that I’ve done is to enable the continuous gear readout as I really missed that on my 25 vs my 22.

Did you do the AS built data change or the Easy mode?

It is very understandable that when you want to change something, that some other thing changes too.

Changing 1 number or 1 letter can change different features in your car at the same time.

Example when using AS-built mode.

- You want to enable continues gear and you found out that changing the number from 4 to 8 will give you the continues gear.

After changing 4 to 8 you indeed got the continues gear to work, but as a side effect your tire pressure changed from PSI to BAR.

This is totally normal, because you changed the number from 4 (continues gear display off) to 8 (continues gear display on).

What you didn't realize is that there are more numbers or letters that can enable the continues gear display. Because like I said before, changing 1 number of letter can change more feature at once.

Use the spreadsheet in the largest Forscan thread created by @roket to understand what a simple change can do.

Another example:

Changing the number to 1 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light Off, Speedo MPH, Tire pressure BAR

Changing the number 2 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light Off, Speedo MPH, Tire pressure PSI

Changing the number 3 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light Off, Speedo MPH, Tire pressure Kpa

Changing the number 4 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light Off, Speedo KPH, Tire pressure BAR

Changing the number 5 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light Off, Speedo KPH, Tire pressure PSI

Changing the number 6 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light Off, Speedo KPH, Tire pressure Kpa

Changing the number 7 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light On, Speedo MPH, Tire pressure BAR

Changing the number 8 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light On, Speedo MPH, Tire pressure PSI

Changing the number 9 does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light On, Speedo MPH, Tire pressure Kpa

Changing the number A does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light On, Speedo KPH, Tire pressure BAR

Changing the number B does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light On, Speedo KPH, Tire pressure PSI

Changing the number C does the following:
- Continues gear display ON, Rear Fog Light On, Speedo KPH, Tire pressure Kpa

As you can see all of the above example changes gives you the continues gear display, but as you can see, every change gives you another "side effect".

You have to choose the right one to avoid side effects.

I have made a spreadsheet for the common things people change so I can use it or revert back easily anytime I gathered the info from the posts here from you and other members

how about I share this spreadsheet with you just to make sure nothing wrong in there and then we share it here so anyone new and want to turn on or off some features can easily go to this spreadsheet without getting overwhelmed with the main spreadsheet?

Nothing on my S650, but I fubar'd my 24 Bronco WT something fierce trying to enable the amber DRLs...lol That was not fun. I had to upload a forscan user guide I found online to my AI platform and it was able to walk me through doing what I wanted... Spoiler I was WAY off with the direction I was getting from the forums.

For the mustang, I got a premium GT so it has basically everything I wanted or would want to enable.

On the Bronco, I was able to add rock crawl mode (WT didnt have it), I turned on bambi mode which is fogs stay on with brights, disabled double honk when leaving the truck running but taking out the key with me and I did end up getting the amber DRLs working. There was a few other things you could do with it, but I didnt go much further. Sorry I know bronco is off-topic, but maybe it will trigger someone to want something similar for the mustang. Like enabling drag mode on a base GT or something like that.

Thanks everyone.
I made the changes the easy way not the As Built..

Is there a difference between the easyway ( not sure what else you would call it) and the spreadsheet (apart from the obvious). I thought the spreadsheet being replaced by the other.

** alansari if you have your own simplified spreadsheet be great to share but i do prefer the other way.
I take it the spreadsheet changes will have its own side effects as GTB pointed out.

The only other changes i want to make is the stop/start & that stupid boing noise, when you first turn car on with door open & the screens start loading..
