I was out "breaking in" my new 25 GT. Watching the AFR for several WOT pulls on the highway. And it consistently goes 10.0 rich at the top of 3rd and all the way into 4th (10R80). That's very rich.

My guess based on the gen 3 calibration is that its commanding .70 lambda for CAT enrichment. And no matter if i do the pulls when the car is cooler or when its completely heat soaked, I'm seeing this same behavior.

I did swap to e30 now and it feels more consistent but still going into cat enrichment. But it still needs to be gone through. I can limit the level of cat enrichment to something way more reasonable than 10.0, like we do on the gen 3 cars with cars. I wont get into specifics. But once we get tuning - (i'm hearing industry rumors), its GAME ON. I'm going to work over the fueling, push the spark a bit and set up the mother of all trans tunes like I did with the gen 3.

Cant wait for this to be tunable. It needs it bad.

There is a small amount of PIDs available including spark advance and WB EQs so you can see real spark and lambda. But I can’t see any KR or anything Trans.

After taking a spin in my 2024 today, I feel a 500 rwhp would make this thing dang near perfect for me.

I know the Gen 3's can get there. Wishing, wishing, . . . . . .

They definitely need tuning, an extra 20-30whp would do wonders for this car along with trans tuning.

Steeda's car only made 450whp with headers and E30, not sure if they had slicks on it though - that would suck some power. They also had some lightweight wheels/driveshaft so it seems like it should have made more but I'm not sure what gear they were in either.

Doubt you're going to get any power out of a tune, they're so agressive as it is.
There's tons on the table man. Reducing Tq management alone is going to be a winner. Adding a few degrees of spark and adding a tad more fuel. Reducing COT and trans will be killer. Mine will be banging shifts at 7800 like a swiss watch. Revise the TCC too. You have no idea whats on the table here, and we are going to get it all. Cant freakin wait.

Still not going to get 30hp out of it.

Do we know they will ever let us tune it? I get in the old days someone would eventually crack the encryption but with these cars constantly phoning home they can just undo the cracking.

it’s crazy to me this isn’t an option. I would love to do some work and keep it NA but get a bit more HP and torque. I don’t need 800+ with the supercharger but something between there would be awesome.

You'd spend a ton of money on something like a Cobra jet intake, headers, comp cams stage 3....end up with something that's not as drivable etc and only make another 80hp

The only gains will be from trans tuning and raising a few hundred rpm up top.

the trans tuning on the whipple is so incredible, makes sport mode just so damn snappy even cruising around, and they reduced throttle input lag…. It such a perfect tune it’s worth the extra couple of bucks to put the blower on…

think I’ll take it out for a Sunday cruise up to the driving range

No, I’m positive. It will be a leaker or some Russia hacker team of contractors that will crack it. That’s what happened to the 2018+ Mopars. Someone leaked the way you can unlock them, and then the industry took off with it.
I highly doubt Ford is going to offer anything to anyone that isn’t a paying Ford partner. Besides it looks like Ford is going to release a procal for the Mustang GT and dark horse. That’s what some of the people in the industry are saying right now.

I can do that to any coyote Gen by just changing the pedal demand. It’s basically a pedal commander, but built into the tune. All of the pedal demands for each mode are different currently. But none are really ramped up quick on the bottom tip in.
