Looks nice but same performance results by ripping out carbon traps and installing Steeda high flow filters
The K&N still look nice and is functional, but I too like ours better.
Can't wait till Ford Unlocks the PCM and we can really see what we can get out of them.

Gotta say I’m pretty impressed with the looks and build quality of their cold air intakes. Haven’t driven it enough to form an opinion on performance gains but I gotta say it turned out great!

I'm looking to install the same CAI soon, mostly because it makes under the hood look better. Have you looked at the air intake temperatures on the dash to compare if the air is getting in colder than the factory intakes?

Sorry. Never really had data to compare to

The silver background behind the GT is gone in your other pictures. What badge did you replace it with?
Behind the GT? My rear deck lid? Or you mean behind the 5.0

Sorry, I meant the 5.0 badge.

actually
Sorry, I meant the 5.0 badge.
I actually cut out a piece of mirror chrome sticker. It’s there the whole time but sometimes the pics show in different ways depending how the light reflects off of it. That one makes it look white but it’s the sky reflection. Sometimes it looks missing when it’s dark.

I read too much about hydro lock with these systems. As a daily driver, rain and huge puddles will be present and the risk of water entering the engine occurring is enough for me to pass on the debatable gains in cold air from open heat shields, hp and sound gains. The hood heat extractor being open, and water entering from below in both can't be measured properly enough to be ruled out as a cause of hydro lock IMO.

I'd be surprised if it hydrolocked from rain getting on the filters. Usually it's some numpty thinking their car can ford metre deep water and swallowing the bow wave.

Our Steeda 555 3234 Mustang GT/Dark Horse ProFlow Cold Air Intake (24-26) can be run open or closed. You can retain the factory Airbox if water intrusion is a big concern.

.......everyone knows this, right? The OEM Mustang "air boxes" are connected to snorkels that exit lower down on the front grille, by quite a bit and so far there are no reports of water intrusion from them. The OEM filters, AFE filters and Roush filters would only let water in if you - as @Lou G said so eloquently - drove through a lake, otherwise you'll be okay.

Ive tuned a ton of GTs and DHs when various CAIs on them and not seen one in datalogs that flows better than the OEM airboxes with the traps out, including the ford paper airfilters. Dont waste your money on a CAI with these cars, its not the bottleneck for an NA car.
