Splash Guards

Just get a guard that is wider than your tire and it will work.

But just telling me it doesn't work while all stock GT's have tires that don't stick out more than the fender. So a splash guard like this is sticking out from the fender which makes the guard functional.

It's just not looking good for you as a seller of different rock guards to bash on other products without substantiation. It would look better if you also explained why they don't work, how it works, how it's tested to find that out etc.

But only giving a negative comment about a product without substantiation while you are selling counter parts gives me the feeling that you just want to bash on other businesses to make yours look better. Trust me, it works the other way around.

Communication and explanation is the way to go.

already spoken. Most of our buyers have tried lots and lots of other guards. All reported still getting rock chips. So our data shows a lot of others look great but are not functional. I myself bought a very popular brand of guards. 2 days after 3 rock chips. And like I said I have thousands of people reporting the same stuff.
Good luck to you. Maybe your product is great so please invest in it! Buy more and start selling them. I am sure you will do well since you love them and have tested them on thousands of cars like we have.

And now you are trying to change what you said by saying that they won't stop ALL rocks.

That's totally different than what you said before that they won't stop anything and that they are only cosmetic.

Don't try to gaslight me while you are changing your words.

I did saw your product and compared them with others. I do agree that your mud flaps protect more than the others I saw. That's not the problem here. It is logical that your mud flaps protect more than others because they are wider and longer. The bigger the guard, the better the protection. Nothing new.

But that was not the discussion here. Sometimes we humans choose for something less big, because your mud flaps stand out too much to my opinion. That's why I chose the smaller OEM looking rock guards that serve the purpose more than enough and don't stand out that much.

Does it protect? Yes?
Does it protect more than yours? No.

But don't say that it doesn't protect anything, just because yours protect more. That just sounds like you are trying to make your product look good by bashing others. That's a very bad way of promoting your products.

Well, there is a guy here who sells larger mud flaps, I don't know his name. If you ask him, not a single mud flap does it's job, only his. So if you want one, you can buy his version. His version is the largest of all. But the fact that he bashes on all other companies, just because he has competition, is the reason why I wouldn't buy it from him

i had the ZL1s. Unfortunately they didn’t provide protection. Got rock chips on my dark horse with handling pack.

What size wheels & tires are you rocking?

255 front, 275 rear..PP Pkg. So looking over the threads, if you run larger tires, 305's, 315's, then the ZL1's may not protect properly, will need larger flaps and then you start running into ugly flaps.... I went with ZL1's for subtleness as well as protection. IMO, if you go bigger tires, look at PPF for the the rocker panels behind front tires and quarter panel behind rear tires, where stone throws etc occur.

I recently bought and installed these:

Because of the conditions of paint (see next photo) I did a little touch up using paint chip kit from www.automotivetouchup.com

Car is only 4,000 miles and already this kind of damage :(

Front mud flap.

Lower holes are too small for the push pins, so I butchered them open a little using a file

Tape is provided, but no instructions whatsoever on how to attach it. Used my best judgment

Installed. Just remove clips/pins and reinstall back, nothing special

To install the rear you'd really want to have the smallest rachet you can find. I have really small one and managed to install them just fine without removing wheels.
For the lower push pin (Christmas tree type), pins removing pliers is a must. I replaced this pin with two-part "normal" clip

This is how I attached tape.

Total time with cleaning, painting chips, filing out holes, installing etc is about an hour.
I really like how they look and fitment is 100% spot on. Guys did a good job modelling them. In hands they feel a little cheaper than OEM stuff would (a little on the thin side I'd say), but good enough. Really look OEM. Recommend.

Necessary. After washing my car, the first mile makes the side already dirty. So if dirt reach those sides, small stones will too.

You don't have to drive on gravel to drive over small stones.

Look at the pictures above your post. Damage on the inside as well.

I'm getting them for looks and protection. They add a little finish to the car's profile. Granted I don't have the HP and super sticky tires, but you do get spray when its wet and rocks can happen almost anywhere.
