I’m 10 months into ownership of my first Mustang GT (w/ A10 transmission) and still working through the nuances of the different drive modes. What is the preferred drive mode for the best acceleration at highway speeds?

Gotcha, I assumed drag would be better suited for standing starts or low speed roll ons. Thus far, I’ve been using sport mode for passing and higher speed roll ons.

Buy the DH and don't even give it a second thought, this car passes everything with zero issues.

OBTW I don't believe Drag Mode goes above 7th gear. If you have paddles, use them.

Hammer Down Mode!! Sport Mode is a start and that’s all I need. More than good and responsive as heck! I need to get the slowdown game in order tho!! 😆😆😆

Like another poster said, 3-4 taps of that left paddle and it’s there for sure. That’s how I slow down when I see the “People” 🚨🚔!!!

I guess I need confess the real basis of my question….I had a high end German sedan pull along side of me on the interstate while cruising about 70 mph and he wanted to try me out. My experience with those type cars are they are better designed for Autobahn type driving and tend to be better suited for higher speed acceleration and top end.

And what was the German Sedan and how did it go?? I guess maybe by you posing this question that your outcome wasn’t a positive one?? And honestly, I know when to allow someone to try me out based on knowledge as to what they have … not that I just wait for cars (or trucks) to egg me on in to a high speed exhibition either.
