Does your GT seem to require less steering effort than S550s?

I’ve only got about 800 miles on my new non-PP GT A10, virtually 100% driven in track mode. I thought I had noticed this but after a 100 mile romp in my same configured 2020 GT yesterday, also in track mode, I’m sure of it. The steering is completely different on these two cars. A little hard to describe but it feels heavier (and therefore sportier) on my 2020 by a good bit. Kinda makes the 2024 steering feel a bit “overboosted”.

I double-checked but the steering quick adjustment button on the right of the actual steering wheel doesn’t do anything in track mode; the steering stays in sport.

Maybe this is just a part of the new improved steering on the ‘24s and I just need to get used to the quicker ratio, IDK.

I like the car a lot but to me it’s a way different driving experience from the S550.

There's a notably smaller "dead zone" on the S650 and it turns in faster, especially on-throttle.

By “turn in”, do you basically mean just a quicker steering ratio? I see this term frequently and not being a track guy I’m not sure exactly what it refers to.

The S650 does seem “twitchier” if that means anything.

Yes "quicker" steering ratio... less steering wheel input is required to get the same amount of tire turn as the S550.

Stupid as it sounds it helps me to be aware of this. I find myself having to correct unexpectedly in a turn having used more input than necessary after coming right out of a 550.

So for my 2 cents, I think it’s just initial input that’s numb. If I’m really pushing it through corners, I have excellent feedback, but it comes when I’m really hanging a corner hard.

If you’re mildly taking corners and bends then I completely understand what people are saying.

I agree with this but didn’t realize that people were “saying” it and that it was a noticeable thing. Glad it‘s not just me.

I guess I will know more when my car arrives, but in the test drives I did steering felt similar to my S197.

If you're off-throttle, or driving mildly, yes, the steering will be heavy and numb in sport mode.

Yes, quicker steering ratio. The point where it starts to turn is earlier, and it turns faster on the S650.
