been thinking about getting a 6 year/100k mile maintenance plan. i was quoted ~$2800 for it. given that the front rotors are $600 each for the 2-piece DH ones, struts themselves are about $736 each, and shocks themselves are $501 each (all before tax and parts mark-up and labor and cost of supporting parts), it will probably pay for itself in the long run. it covers all of those being replaced once

For that price you could get a full aftermarket warranty with wear and tear parts such as brakes included.

i remember at one point seeing someone freak out about Ford trying to kill off the V8, but i just saw this on their home page

added MyColor cupholder lights. it was so hacky to get that lincoln cupholder into place, but i did it, and it doesnt look that bad

i also put in cupholder inserts from an F-150

i used the parts
LJ7Z-7813562-BA - Lincoln Corsair Cupholder
ML3Z-1513562-AA - F-150 Cupholder Inserts (ordered 2)
FR3Z-14A318-K - Mustang Cupholder Lights
i also used tessa tape to wrap the wires and give it an OEM look and routed the wires behind the control stack so i can add a wireless charger ambient light

the wire i added is in this picture. i will take more pictures after i finish breakfast

also, you have to make a sacrifice where the cupholder from the driver's view looks flush but the passenger view is not, and there is a lip between the cupholder and the plastic that makes up the floor console

This is a great mod @roket - many small things add up to big things and as I get older I appreciate attention to detail more and more! Can't wait to see what else you do with this ride.

I saw someone take a Typhoon intake kit and have it paint matched to their car and it just made sense. This is something I have planned for my own DH. Assuming my build doesn't get pushed and I cancel the order, keep my existing S550 or buy a Porsche or something lol Assuming the stars align I will be looking into this cupholder mod. I always felt the centre was too dark!

Correct, this forum has become depressing. I'd be willing to bet a majority couldn't afford a DH. Now we are comparing a 350 thousand GTD Mustangs, to a Corvette probably in the same price range. Seriously? Trust me every new car now with the tech they come with has issues. I'm glad I still am able to have V8 in this crazy world.
