I dont understand your question but I think its safe to say nobody would buy a Mustang if it wasnt for the fact that it is the last car that you can buy with a V8...
What? You think I only bought this car because it was the last one standing? I promise you if dodge still made their V8, I wouldn't have bought the dodge 🙄 It's the last one standing because it was better than the rest. Period. Yes, even wide body boats.. I mean challengers.

I know there are lots of brand loyal fanboys and that is fine by me...I dont care if Ford,GM or Dodge makes my V8 of choice because these corporations dont care about nobody and nothing but only about One thing only...Profits ! Having said that the Mustang is the last standing for whatever reason GM and Dodge decided to pull out of the game but for sure not because it was the best.Look at the bad sales numbers of the S650 despite having the whole segment to themselves now...The Mustangs lacks in the motor (no torque) and chassis department (10 year old alpha is still better than 7gen S650)...And neither Mustang nor Camaro could touch the looks , interior size and quality as also the comfort and practicality of the Challenger as it still outsold both after the long 16 year production run...And Charger included it absolutely owned the US V8-rwd market ! And yes I thought it was a boat too until I finally drove a Challenger-Widebody and was pleasantly surprised how much fun it is to drive...LOL

Mustang is the highest selling in the past decade. Maybe the challenger beat it in one or two off years, but mustang had higher sales and it wasn't close.

You think all the buyers are fanboys?

Or here's an idea... Maybe the mustang is more of an attractive buy.

Edit:
Also, the mustang just had it's best May sales since 2020 (pre pandemic).

I tell you what...I bought a lot of american cars through my life because I love the sound a Torque of a V8 especially paired to a manual...But I was honest enough that I only bought them for that reason because the quality compared to german or japanese cars sucked ! But now with prices where they are you cant say anymore yes the interior plastics suck , the paint does not look good or panel gaps are uneven or there are squeaks or rattles I can live with because I only paid 30 grand max...That ship has sailed while the quality still sucks unfortunately...But I have to say my new Challenger had no quality or reliability issues so far which has surprised me in a positive way...Not even squeaks or rattles except for one molding where the tab was broken and fixed by warranty ! But I am not too worried as I bought Stellantis 8 year/100K manufaturer bumper to bumper warranty with $100 deductible for 3 grand...Peace of mind especially thinking how complicated cars are nowadays and how expensive it is to fix them ! Maybe the forum should let you buy all the cars since yours are and have been all perfect...LOL
Mine has none of those issues, troll.

Sales are down due to the economy and rampant inflation. Stop ignoring facts.

In 2023 the last year Mustang - Camaro - Challenger where still build 48600 Mustangs were sold barely beating the 16 year old Challenger with 44900 units sold and Camaro third with 31000 units sold...But Dodge sold also 46700 units of the 4-door Charger making Dodge clearly the american V8 rwd sales leader with 91600 units of a 16 year old car ! So far for first quarter 2024 Ford moved 13700 units of the S650 which is 1000 units less than first quarter 2023 when they still sold the S550...Minus 7 % for gen 7 Usually first year generates big sales increases .And last years economy was nothing to write home about either !

"Two dodge cars put together outsold mustang everyone!! Hip hip hooray" 😂

Mustang is clearly the sales leader. Always has been.

If you're seeing me buying a new car, the market is strongly on the side of the buyer. We've gone from ADM to discounts in the span of 18 months. Every Mustang and Corvette in my town is on dealer discount. If sales tries to play hardball when my special order arrives, I can drive across the street and buy a convertible from a competitor that afternoon.

This isn't 2022, it's much harder to sell expensive cars, let alone alone 2-door sports cars, in this market.

I dont understand your question but I think its safe to say nobody would buy a Mustang if it wasnt for the fact that it is the last car that you can buy with a V8 & manual brand new ! It is for sure not because of the great reliability or build quality or quality of materials used or that Ford tops the list of factory recalls...LOL Corvette is probably worse when you look at paint and misaligned panels or the problems they have with their automated manuals...But why should they change anything as long as the fanboys love and accept it as part of the experience...But for 100 grand I would expect nothing less than the quality of a KIA or Hyundai for less than 1/3rd of that price !
Are you referring to one of the 3.4 million Kia’s issued a park outside notice last September because they could catch on fire, the 300,000 Tellurides recalled a few days ago also with a park outside notice, the 13 million Kia’s and Hyundais recalled with engine issues since 2010, or one of their other many other recalled vehicles? People bought Mustangs more often than Challengers or Camaros when all were available, so obviously some people actually like the Mustang? Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it a good car? Absolutely! If you don’t like it, that’s fine, but continuing to bash it on the forums is not going to get Ford’s attention and make them pay better attention to the details.

It is great having input from non-S650 owners on the forum, and it is a good place for people to learn about these cars, but if you don’t own one, think they are terrible, have no intention of buying one and are simply here to bring up the same complaints and gripes in thread after thread, then I question whether you really should be here.

Just in general: sometimes i enjoy hash but when it becomes rehash it’s trash.

That explains why Ford sold zero Mustangs in the past several decades while other options were available. Thanks, you always offer such valuable and well thought out insight.

You are obsessed with this car. It's beyond strange. We all know it isn't a perfect car. I didn't buy it for forum credibility. You like your Dodge, we get it...or do you, you seem incredibly insecure about your choice? It's not even clear that you own one.

HAH! Ever see the best car chase of all time?! Bullitt! WHO won that?! Huh? Huh? Yea! That's right; the cool guy :sunglasses: driving the MUSTANG! NOT the evil :bandit: criminal dudes driving the Dodge; who not only got spooked and lost it, but managed to blow themselves and their prone to rust car up!
If that's not definitive proof Mustangs rule, have qualitative superiority AND cool factor and Dodges not only handle poorly, but burn easily; then I don't know what is!

No need to thank me.
