What is the best security system?

I believe it on the Mustangs. Texas has it's own good charm and culture.....in certain places, but I like the Southeast better. Keller, at the time was a good place to live. But to live there, I had to leave there to go to Dallas now and then. I kind of switched gears when entering that place. Left in 2004 and haven't been back. I can only imagine now. I have a friend in Houston and it's a crime infested dump.....a lot of it anyway. I do remember traffic would move quick between FW and Dallas.

That's why my family stays away from there. Even my mother has a Mustang.

It seems it's every week you hear about new-age thieves stealing late model cars with all these "security" features.

Some brands and models are particularly vulnerable with design flaws.

I'm seriously considering getting one of these for both my cars.

Was using them 20 years ago.

Sometimes, basic old-school stuff "just works".
Being highly visible any crook should just pass on by, looking for an easier target.

An OBD port locking cap is also a cheap deterrent, but the scumbags are already inside your vehicle when they discover that one.

That seems to be making a comeback. My dad showed me an old J.C. Whitney catalog which had a fuel turn off. You drill a hole under your seat and mount to the floor of your vehicle. All you had to do is turn the handle like a faucet. If they took your car they end up about a block or so away.

Most likely some rich guy is driving it in a foreign country by now. No more Dark Horses for me. They seem to get stolen quickly. I have the Premium HP Recaros. I worry too much it. A collector wants it. Plus I need something I can tow a mini cow or a horse. So I'm lost on what to get. Was thinking an Escape, Edge, Explorer or F-150 XL 4X4s with towing packages.

This thing is a piece of shit, They cut the steering wheel and bye bye you car.

The best security system is the one that makes you you push three or more button in a car to make it start. Sadly I don't remember what system it was but do a google search and you will find it.

There is tons of reviews about security system out there google it and you will find 1 that suits your needs,

I paid for all of my car when I bought it and I don't want it back after some idiot(s) has likely abused it one way or another. I pay insane amounts of insurance between myself and my company and that's what it's for. They've bought me more than one new vehicle and my rates don't go up. We're all in different situations that I try to respect......try.

I'm going to move out of the city. Even though the one I live in is not bad. Especially since I have to go every other day to see my cow. Going to sell the cow. Long horns are too hard to tow even if she's a mini Long horn. Horns stick out like wings on a plane. Car thieves should be tarred and feathered then made to ride the rails. Send them to California with Greusom Newsome.

Seriously, I use a steering lock when it's parked up and I'm away for a while.
Mustangs are rare enough here, that you couldn't drive or sell a whole one. And a Coyote engine listed on Trade Me would be slightly stupid.
