Is this based on the one YouTube video where a guy that couldn't even pronounce "Nordschleife" cobbled together a time based on methodology only slightly better than me picking a number out of my ass? If so, that guy is a clown that has no idea what he's talking about. More HP does not usually mean better track times on a course that has few straights. The vetter will not beat the AMG 1. That car was built to be a track weapon 1000% from the ground up. The vette is built to go fast but also appeal to its intended audience. And it has the same suspension tuning that the z06 has with a few tweaks. And the issue with the z06 was it was tail happy coming out of corners and braking into corners was not as smooth. So adding more power might not help it as much in the ring. Its suspension is still not as stiff and it is heavy also. So it beating the AMG a legal everyday track only car will be extremely difficult.

We shall see soon, the heavy rumor is 6:27. So be it HP or general tech, it is fast, nasty and $200k

I highly doubt it will be close to the AMG One. DRS is a hell of a feature on a track with such high speed segments while increasing downforce/brakeforce heavily when needed. You can't achieve this with a fixed aero setup. And remember the Z06 had huge issues with fast Nordschleife times because of the way too long high gears.

My best guess is that is achives a 6:45-6:50

im going to put a hefty "ill believe it when i see it" here. while the ZR1X is an amazing car on paper its still being held back by some (relatively speaking) old tech. itll most likely beat the GTD but i feel the AMG One is a bit of a longshot. Corvette does have power on the GTD and AMG One but both the AMG and GTD have active aero components and F1 proven pushrod suspension vs Corvettes static aero elements and (i think) MagneRide adaptive suspension.

From someone who owned a 2023 ZL1, has driven a 427 Camaro, and a few Z06 Vettes, I think what people miss is the absolute mastery of GM and their chassis guys.

Good time to live and like the fast cars, no doubt!!!

I was throwing my GT around a bit earlier, and even though it does not have the PP/Mag, with the Max performance AS tires it dose ok on my country roads having mild fun, nothing crazy and that is all I want.
