Back when we first got our hands on a Dark Horse, the owner wasted no time in throwing an H-Pipe on. However, due to time constraints, we weren't able to test the X-Pipe. For all of you who commented asking to hear the resonator delete comparison, here it is! Of course, we also strapped it on the dyno to see if the GT's numbers would be backed up.

You know, for you guitar guys, this reminds me a little bit of amplifier reviews and comparisons. Invariably A-B-C comparisons are done with supposedly “stock” amps but when you read the fine print you discover that “stock” means oh yeah, except for the four pedals that are plugged into one amp.

What would be helpful would be a 4-way comparo with a bone stock car running AVE in track mode vs. a stock car running either an h-pipe, x-pipe or muffler delete. Seems like something that clear cut would be a big click generator.

It ultimately depends on the dealer and a bit of research on your end. Here’s an article that explains further. In short, a warranty can only be voided if the issue is directly traced back to the specific part in question - it won't automatically void your warranty:

Just bought my DH, this answer is the only thing holding me up. Wil the H pipe void warranty?

No — simply installing an aftermarket part does not automatically void your vehicle’s warranty. Under U.S. law, specifically the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer or dealer must prove that the aftermarket part directly caused the problem before they can deny coverage.

It was put in place directly for this reason
