Just a quick question about tinting the windows. Is there a disable function so that our windows don’t automatically crack open when opening the doors? This would help the fresh tint from being compromised in the first couple of days when it is advised to keep the windows all the way up. Thank you

Never had this compromise any tint that was installed correctly. Even when it is just applied. Just don't bring the window all the way until the tint it is dried.

It's not an issue for new window tint.

That might cause damage to the window glass when you then close the door.

What tint shops do in the installation to prevent issues is they use a blowtorch along the bottom edge of the window to really heat up (and thus dry/seal) the edges of the tint so that it can withstand the frameless window's normal movement after install.

They also trip the little switch in the door lock mechanism to pop the window to full height before they install the tint. You can try it for yourself with your finger, no special tool needed. Just pull the door handle to trigger it to descend again before you close the door so you don't smash your glass against your car doorframe.

I've never had an issue with the 3 mustangs I've owned after tinting. My shop just says to keep the door use to a minimum for 24 hours if possible. If its properly installed its not going to peel.
