I ordered mine in July of last year, got my GT (fully loaded) in early November. Luckily I was able to purchase it at only $500 over invoice. It was an impulse buy, and like someone else said, no one discouraged me not to get it.
Like SSuperDave had mentioned as well, it was not feasible for me, and I did not need all the bells and whistles. I JUST HAD to have the premium with cooled seats, the active exhaust, the B&O sound system, the performance package, and the magneride system...
I regret not getting just the fastback (in iconic silver). I should have just ordered the base GT with the Brembo brakes package, manual, and saved myself over $13,000, and over time added the aftermarket parts when I could, and when they became available.
I have been considering selling my car because of the cost; gas, insurance, and monthly payments. I'd save a lot of money per month without a car for a little bit.
I love the car, the newly tweaked design, the sound, the smiles per gallon, the handling, the acceleration. For me right now it's strictly the cost of ownership. I also wish the car weighed 500 pounds less...

With that being said, anyone want to buy a 2024 mustang, autmatic, almost fully loaded (no california, bronze, or nite pony package), with all the aftermarket Steeda, Ford Performance, and BMR suspension parts(steeda lowering springs-dual rate, ford front cambers plates, BMR rear adj. camber links, and 6 more items that i cant remember)?
8,800 miles.
Ceramic coated, front rock/splash guard. side skirt opening 3d printed gap closing things, Aftermarket Apex SM-10 19x10 wheels, with 20,000 miles left on Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires, 285/35ZR19?

pics? price? keep in mind you can get new ones now for 6-8k off, plus it's used. I'm thinking 15k+ off of MSRP.

Failure to perform due diligence prior to making such a large purchase typically costs you big time. Good luck.

Mustangs are the ultimate bought on emotion, sold after reality hits car.

People buy the dream or exhaust note and sell when they find it won't work for them as a daily for whatever other reason.

When talking about her most famous role, Hollywood star Rita Hayworth once said “Men go to bed with Gilda, but wake up with me.” People are seduced by the fantasy, the reality is different and often fails to live up to the dream.

Describes life with a Mustang to a tee for many.

Maybe when you're young. People do stupid shit, hence my two ex wives.
But being older and marginally less stupid ,I knew exactly what I was getting into with the Mustang.
And when they throw my casket in the boot and do a burnout in front of the crematorium (kind of a preview) everyone will know I enjoyed every drive.

Certainly, but it explains why there are so many lightly used examples at CarMAX.

Also, unless you're cremated, there's no way they're throwing you in the trunk. 🤣

I suspect the EcoBoost and convertibles are rentals. I bought my NEW 24 GT 6 spd for 39,600 in March of 25. I had to go to Michigan to get it, about 160 miles. What a great ride home! Love the car, averaging 22 mpg during my commute.

Was looking at Mustangs on the Carmax and cars.com websites with the intention of buying an S550 in the low to mid 30k range, but was surprised to see so many used 2024 GTs for sale for not much more. What prompts people to purchase a Mustang GT and sell it in the same year with ~4-8k miles? Are they all on the secondary market because people couldn't make the new car payments, or maybe weren't happy with the purchase, or maybe there were persistent problems that they're pawning off to the second owner. . . or possibly a mix of all these reasons? I've typically owned cards for 5-10 years before I sell them, so it just seems odd to me to see so many used cars of the same model year already on the market (I realize we're at the tail end of the year. . but still) and am curious as to people's thoughts on the reasons behind it. Would you be cautious about buying a used 2024 Mustang?
I got my 24' with 9k miles on it, i had actually found the previous owner. I don't wanna mention names or anything, but they were in IT/Web designer, and my car was originally $51,325, 2024 interest rates were not great, and the guy was like 28 with a wife, and his parents bought/owned the car, but he was the driver. So mom-dad helped him get the car. But i think the $900-$1000 payment most likely was killing him. So somewhere they bailed out and I picked it up at carvana, so im guessing they traded it in at a loss to get him something cheaper.

I'm kind of betting that happened a lot with the mustangs, these younger guys buy them, can't afford the $800/$900/$1000 payment with their 10% interests and bail on them. FYI if you don't have 4-6%, get your credit up and refinance with a credit union. Seriously. Paying 8,9,10+ percent is insanity on a car that's depreciating at almost or at the same rate.
