About half the PP options were either (to me) a downgrade or things I didn't want. Summer tires so I need to buy a second set of all-seasons, parking brake handle that I find ugly. PP spoiler that I pay for and don't get, blade spoiler delete that I'd rather have on the car, strut tower brace that's already included on convertibles. I like the look of the wheels but I don't want wheels that are a PITA to clean so I prefer the standard shadow silver aluminum. Didn't want the 3.73 axle ratio - I find the 3.55 to be a great balance between comfort and performance. About the only thing I really wanted from the performance package was the brakes, which I added as a $1,700 option.

I wasn't familiar with the K brace. Is that the part that runs from the strut towers back towards the firewall?

So the list is...

STB included
K brace included
No spoiler
No upgraded rear sway bar

But you get some goodies, you just pay for the above

@Zuko at a Mustang meet this summer (2024) I listened to a conversation between a couple of 'vert owners. One said he had put a big aftermarket wing on his GT. After 30mph it drew dust and crap right into the car. He thought it might have been some kind of backdraft effect. He said it was a costly experiment as he had to fill the holes and re-paint his trunk lid.

I can see that. My question is though, why is pp same cost as coupe for vert when you don't get the expensive spoiler. Shouldn't it be less?

Because profit margins are significantly lower on verts…

so by you not getting those items it helps to add back to bottom line margins on the car.

In my mind, adding a big spoiler to a convertible is like adding a Cosworth rear hatch spoiler to a XR4Ti. The two panel spoiler is sight limiting enough, much less the three panel one.
