Would you have ordered a Darkhorse convertible if it had been offered?

if the convertible had a more similar shape to the coupe and was not an extra $6k and had better chassis bracing that makes up for the lack of the roof, maybe

Nah. If the point is to get your DH on a track, that's not going to happen with a convertible. I'd rather cruise by the beach with the top down with a few extra dollars in my pocket.

There have been a number performance convertibles built over the decades that have entered into competition. Today I personally wouldn't actually race a convertible but I would do a track day with one. All the Mustang convertible needs is a little more chassis stiffening, a rollbar and a little weight reduction....sounds like a good starting point for a DH convertible to me!

I would have ordered something priced above a GT Convertible if it was significantly more engine and not what the DH package is. The DH, at least when ordered with HP, is a track oriented package and few track events or even autocross events will allow a convertible.

I might have ordered a Dark Horse convertible but after a few months of ownership Iā€™m realizing I barely ever get a chance to use all 486hp available from the GT. So given what the convertible option cost, Iā€™m good for now.

Put wider tires & wheels on a DH w/o the HP and you're 90% there.

If ford were to add a spoiler of some sort, YES! Find the rear end a bit naked without a spoiler. Doesn't have to be functional, just like the sportiness it adds.
